Juana what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.

It should be viewed as a chunk of cultural revelation.Multiculturalism (for those who have never experienced it in its dirtiest, most naked form)is a pleasant but scary mess.Paulie Fenech has done a great job in revealing this mess to the uninitiated (who will want the movie banned) and to the experienced (who will never want it to end).Almost all comments here have been ravingly positive, but it must be noted that the negative ones seem to have come from British nationals (who have probably taken exception to their queen copping a load from a lowly colonial cleaner at the Opera House in Sydney).Is Lizzie a bushpig? Does she grunt? Watch the movie and then make your own mind up.Cinematography is excellent and creative. Sound is likewise great. Plot is... um... good. Characters are entirely believable (assuming you are a travelled non-xenophobe).This is a great work which will have you pissing your pants within the first ten minutes. If not, then you NEED to give yourself an uppercut because you deserve it.Some commenters have suggested and even stated that this movie is a "no brainer". All I can say is that they are not very observant. Intelligent social and political comment abound, albeit between the brutish lines.A great, fun, and yet somehow disturbing movie.OTMP (off to make pizza)

boyinflares "Fat Pizza" showcases some of the great comedic talent that Australia has. While the comedian may not be in the league of those from "Fast Forward" and "Kath & Kim" they certainly know how to entertain - even though it is often crude and politically incorrect.The film revolves around the workers of a less-than-stellar pizza parlour and the various antics that they get up to, all with hilarious results. Highlights include the owner of the pizza parlour's mail-order bride, an opposition pizza parlour, the sex-crazed Rocky, and Pauly's animal attack.The actors / comedians all do a good job - Paul French, Paul Nakad, John Boxer, Tahir Bilgic, Jabba, Rob Shehadie, Jo Jo Yee and Maria Venuti are all of note. A warning though, some of the stuff in "Fat Pizza" is just plain gross. Their pizza's may be bigger and cheesier, but that can also be hard to swallow.

rodimus76 Wont be to everyones taste, but i absolutely love FAT PIZZA the movie! used to watch it on SBS in Australia, and miss it dearly, just wish one of the British networks, or satellite stations would show it! cant really say there's much of a plot. but you've got a pizza place ran by these lebs/greeks/Italian type guys, in somewhere like Bankstown (a superb of Sydney with a bit of a reputation)but it's just laugh after laugh after laugh, seriously.If you enjoy Fat Pizza The Movie, you can also get hold of FAT PIZZA UNCENSORED on DVD too. The humor isn't exactly PC at times, but i just laugh my arse off at some of the stuff in it, along with anybody here i've shown it too that's never seen the series before (as it's not shown on uk TV) but i say give it a go, you may like it. its big and it;s Cheesy!

LennyRenquist It's been said that this movie sets Australian culture back 20 years. Whoever said that (I read it somewhere, but can't remember where) has his/her head in his/her armpit. It's the side of Australian culture outsiders rarely see. Illegal immigrants ARE arriving in leaky boats. Police ARE unfairly targeting ethnic minorities. Fast-food corporations (eg McDoggles) ARE being mean to the little guy (and I don't just mean Pauly). People ARE making speed in their backyards. Backpackers ARE being murdered.Though I'm sure that, when these things occur in the real world, they are nowhere near as funny as they are in Fat Pizza. This movie is utterly hilarious from beginning to end. Sure, the humour may not be everyone's cup of tea. I certainly wouldn't feel comfortable watching it with my Nanna.It's unfair to say there is no structure to the plot. There is. Just not a standard one. Which, in this age of Hollywood formula, should be regarded as a good thing. This movie breaks the rules, baby!If you enjoy watching the Pizza TV show on SBS, you'll have a blast. It's longer, with more jokes and cameos crammed in. A family-size Pizza, if you like.If I had to choose between Fat Pizza and Kangaroo Jack as a representation of Australian culture, I'd choose Fat Pizza in a second.
