Iseerphia All that we are seeing on the screen is happening with real people, real action sequences in the background, forcing the eye to watch as if we were there.

AshUnow This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.

Winifred The movie is made so realistic it has a lot of that WoW feeling at the right moments and never tooo over the top. the suspense is done so well and the emotion is felt. Very well put together with the music and all.

Phillipa Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.

lollypop2696 Almost 30 years later, and this film still transcends above the rest. Although I was born years after this film came out, my heart swells when the intro starts. I believe it is Scorsese's best film. This film really takes you on a journey and puts in the shoes of these people, humanizing their lifestyle and their relationships. The soundtrack makes me giddy, and the way the film is shot truly makes you realize the art of movie making. Every time I re-watch the movie, I catch another small detail, providing more depth, beauty, and realness to the story. The first shot we see of Ray Liotta in the parking lot at the diner, the music, the camera angle, I get goosebumps every time. If you have not seen Goodfellas, stop what you are doing right now and watch it and then re-watch it immediately after again.

ncubenqobizithanicholas-18992 Ranks up there with the Godfather trilogy. One of the greatest masterpieces in the genre of crime. Inspired the writing of The Sopranos (1999) as much detail and a total of 27 actors therein also featured in this epic mafia movie.

Smoreni Zmaj I saw a lot of mafia movies and they all are on the same mold. This one is no exception and to me, frankly, it was quite boring. Of course, it is possible that other films under this template are younger than "Goodfellas" and that, if I saw them chronologically, this one would be more interesting, and the others that copy it would be boring. But "The Godfather" was made almost twenty years before this film, so this theory does not hold water either. However, seven nominations and one won Oscar, baton in the hands of Martin Scorsese and the cast which is by no means inferior to that of "The Godfather" rise this achievement above a bunch of similar ones. But as I rated "The Godfather" an eight out of ten, I can not rate this one above7/10

cianlyons-18565 Great movie, really well paced, very fast,great acting, plenty of great lines and characters. I rated this film higher than I did Godfather 2, but that's because this film hits something purely subjective in me which elevates it to that higher level. I just enjoy it more, despite both films probably being among similar levels with Godfather 2 probably being better in a few different ways.
