Mathilde the Guild Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.
joel116 I've seen my share of bad movies, heck, I've made movies myself and were one million times better than this travesty of an eyesore. Here's a few tips for Bilodeau next time you think of raping us with another one of your CACS. ONE: try acting in your original language. It was like watching retarded children learning to walk, awkward and weird.Keep it in french OK? TWO : Too much useless information. You're producing a zombie movie, not a fricking Police investigation. Keep it to it's bare minimum and actually make your zombies do something instead of standing still. Dude, the actors keep repeating themselves every minute or so, a little bit of diversity in the dialog would be much appreciated. WE KNOW THEY'RE GOING HUNTING, GOD !!! THREE: Where did all the money go? I can't imagine that with those effects this movie cost 20.000$. That's CRAZY!!! If you can't afford a movie based in the near future then DO IT IN THE PRESENT, JEEZE !!! FOUR: Stop making movies For those who say that they liked this ... movie, I call forth the greatest hypocritical movement ever. FOR SHAME
deus As a movie fan myself I was curious of this film. The average score and the positive earlier comments made me think this wasn't actually a really bad movie. However, I was quickly put back on earth again. The graphics are bad. The film starts with a voice-over, which on itself is not one of the best features a movie can have as well as it is just one of the worst I ever heard. The setting is beyond low-budget and badly scripted (e.g. there's a scene in a pub in which we hear a lot of people drinking but actually the pub setting has really no people in it!). Next, the actors are bad, they sound like Russians who immigrated to France in their childhood and were only taught English just before the film. I stopped watching after, say, ten minutes. Waste of time!
MrsMcC Two gals, two "tough" guys and the obligatory young jerk tired of living in a self contained city venture out in the woods for some illegal hunting. The plot is more complicated than my description, there are all sorts of sub-plots that made me fast-forward in more than one occasion, but overall I liked this indie film. I especially liked the music used in the opening credits and some of the FX weren't as bad as some folks on these boards say.The acting was varied. The main cast does what it can with their lines and unfortunately more often than not, I had a hard time understanding as they would switch from English to French! Some of the CGI FX were pretty bad, but the zombies looked pretty okay and while the film drags a little, it kept me entertained. If you like low budgeted films like I do, go ahead and rent/buy/download this Canadian effort. AND no, I'm not related in a ny way/shape/form to the filmmakers, Am just a fan of these weird sci-fi/horror films.
davidbyrnefilms First, I wanted to say that I really liked Hunting Grouds a lot.  I had been reading in the reviews how people kept saying that the film had an original and truly unique look, and now that I have seen it I would have to agree.  I know it was made on a low budget, but it has a great professional look.  The details are super crisp and the color is fantastic.  I love the blending of the real life, the models, and CGI effects, it all comes together for a very stylized  effect.  Aside from the zombies, the story reminded me a lot of the classic movie, "On Dangerous Ground" with the whole notion of the hunter and the hunted.  I think the main character Patrice LeBlanc does a fantastic job in the film.  He has a great look to him that I think would help make the sequels a great success.  I am not  sure why, but I kept getting this cool Jean- Claude Van Damme / Dolph Lundgren vibe from him... Maybe its from watching Universal Soldier to many times as a kid, but I definitely think its a good thing.I can't wait to see what this group does next with their film-making, and I wish them the best of luck.David
