Killer Weekend Audience Reviews

Evengyny Thanks for the memories!
Marketic It's no definitive masterpiece but it's damn close.
Gutsycurene Fanciful, disturbing, and wildly original, it announces the arrival of a fresh, bold voice in American cinema.
Calum Hutton It's a good bad... and worth a popcorn matinée. While it's easy to lament what could have been...
moodyhathoot The acting is the most terrible acting I have ever seen.I swear to god it can't be called movie. No special effects. No blood. No gore.It made me think that they were a group of friends that decided to make a movie while having party and they believed themselves and called it a movie when it's recorded in a mobile!! The title will make you very interested to see it.And when see its poster on IMDb you'll be more interested to see it.But when you see it you'll find it sick! I hope this review was useful for you.Best regards.
Russ-79 I completely agree with the two previous postings as to the poor acting in this movie. My review however will deal with not the acting but the blu-ray transfer which I had the misfortune to buy and watch.I attempted to lookup the film's aspect ratio on IMDb but they don't have it listed; apparently this movie is so bad that nobody bothered to enter the details. The reason I cite this is because during the scan to blu-ray the aspect ratio was bastardized. The result is that in most scenes the actor's heads are flattened and the result for me was a massive headache as my brain kept telling me that there was something very wrong with what I was watching. Of course if the heads are out of whack, everything else is as well, but for me, the shape of the human head is the most egregious. I also noticed that most of the images were out of focus so I wish I'd taken a pass on the blu-ray of this movie.
movieman_kev Three rich, but dissatisfied couples gather at a luxury house for a getaway weekend. Unbeknownst to them a killer is on the loose. So when one of them is found murdered, Grizzled old Detective Luke Nicolleti (and,as is typical, only a few days short of retirement) is called onto the case in this low-budget who-done-it mystery. This film was badly acted, the 'mystery' was badly plotted (instead of a who-done-it, i felt more like the movie was a who-the-hell-cares-done-it). It was also extremely boring and I kept checking the time to see when it was going to be over, the minutes felt like excruciating eternities as the actors went through their paces.Eye Candy: a semi-ass shot from what could've been a body-doubleMy Grade: D-where i saw it: Instant Netflix via xbox 360
Pepper Anne Damn, in the first ten minutes of the movie, they killed off the only character who could act--Eric Roberts typecast as the usual domineering, emotionally abusive husband. This is yet another one of those movies where a group of couples with dirty secrets get together for a weekend of unexpected murder. Here, two couples are spending the weekend in their friend's luxurious vacation home somewhere in California. One couple is obvious disgusted with each other, another is two cheating newlyweds, and the third seem like the perfectly content and obedient couple. Then, oops! One winds up dead the morning after a fight with his wife and several other things go down. A meticulous detective (paying attention to all the details except the do's and don't's of crime scene contamination) comes to investigate not one, but two crimes, that occur over the weekend. And basically, the movie plays out (rather tediously and with terrible acting) as though you were actually reading a systematic, standard murder mystery. It's very plain and very simple (except for the surprise ending, which you can probably expect to happen, anyway). This kind of story of the ill-fated couples weekend is nothing new. And with the exception of the introduction (which seemed to be foreshadowing a more interesting series of events than what actually occurred), this maybe one c-grade movie you find on some nameless late night cable station.
