Leprechaun: Origins Audience Reviews

SpuffyWeb Sadly Over-hyped
Salubfoto It's an amazing and heartbreaking story.
Haven Kaycee It is encouraging that the film ends so strongly.Otherwise, it wouldn't have been a particularly memorable film
Dana An old-fashioned movie made with new-fashioned finesse.
Jules Fernandez I saw this movie because it came in a 7 movie Leprechaun Set from WalMart for about $10. I saw a youtube video where all the films were ranked and this ranked as the worst one. I AGREE. What I liked about the other Leprechauns is the fun vibe and Warwick Davis giving the Leprechaun personality. In this film the "Leprechaun" is a growling creature. A monster creature, nothing leprechaun about it. WWE Studios keeps assuring me that their films are garbage.Does NOT belong in the series. It was terrible. Why do they try to my the wrestler "Hornswoggle" come across as the star , when they treat the creature as something that you only see in the shadows and with a shaky cam. Or the view see his predator like night vision. Even has a "Predator" rip off spine pull out kill. The creators were confused and this sucked!
minionking777 I felt so compelled to express my supreme disappointment and hatred of this horrible movie that I am writing my first review on IMDb. Not only does this movie have nothing to do with the franchise, it's not even a good stand alone horror. I love wonky horror movies, but this one is a truly boring, god awful piece of garbage that deserves to be tried for treason and sentenced to a long, torturous death. May ISIS behead the people responsible for producing this film and mispackaging it with the Leprechaun collection. There is no leprechaun. There is no origin. The title should have an asterisk, gigantic quotation marks around it, or an "lol" at the end.ZERO stars.
ConsistentlyFalconer Leprechaun: OriginsTwo young American couples played by Canadians are backpacking through the Irish countryside, stumble upon an American Werewolf in London rip-off, and are left at the mercy of some bad camera work and some sort of half-arsed rotoscoping. This is a bad film.  I knew I was in for a stinker when the production company logo came on screen: WWE Studios.  Yep.  The "wrestling" people. So how bad is it?  Well obviously you've bad acting, a cheesy script, very approximate Irish accents, two-dimensional characters, glaring factual errors, crap special effects, no sense of threat, over-use of jump scares and Lewton buses… but I think the best way of summing up how just how crap Leprechaun: Origins is, is the fact that people are on IMDb defending the honour of the original Leprechaun (1993) film! That's all you need to know, really.  It's so poor, people are calling the original a "classic" by comparison.Avoid.yetanotherfilmreviewblog.tumblr.com
gavin6942 Two young couples backpacking through Ireland discover that one of Ireland's most famous legends (Dylan Postl) is a terrifying reality.Someone said this movie causes cancer. Now, that may be an exaggeration, but you know... as bad as the "Leprechaun" series is, this may be the new worst. Which is really saying something after the "In the Hood" entries. Here, with Warwick Davis missing, we get the the little bit of dark humor that was the series' saving grace removed. Why do we want a monstrous leprechaun rather than the silly one we have grown used to? Such a mistake.
