Martial Law 9-11: Rise of the Police State Audience Reviews

VeteranLight I don't have all the words right now but this film is a work of art.
Moustroll Good movie but grossly overrated
Humbersi The first must-see film of the year.
Ezmae Chang This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
hwarne76 Everything Alex Jones talks about in this movie can be supported if you look for it. The movie simply doesn't have time to show all of the documentation, but if you do a bit of research yourself you can find all of it. The people who debunk this movie are just scared of the truth, that 9/11 was planned by the government. The evidence is so overwhelming that most people don't want to believe it, but you can't turn a blind eye to cold hard facts which is what Alex Jones repeatedly provides over and over in this movie. I suggest you check out his other movie, Secrets of Bohemian Grove, and you can for yourself see how screwed up our government is and how its all just a big good old boys club. Bush is as two faced as it gets, and we should all be scared.
kallelortepik90210 I really don't like this movie, posting as a documentary. In the start it posses as a documentary: but it isn't. I know so because of the bad science used, and that the so-called director only uses websites and other things that aren't really believable proof.I fell a sleep constantly to Alex Jones ramblings: it is very boring. And he sounds like he thinks that he has an important life, even though I strongly disbelieve that.By the bad science i mean especially the bit about controlled demolition. To anyone who has been in the army, as I have, you would know that it takes a long time to set up such charges and that their would be wires everywhere: because you cant use remote-controlled radio frequencies there: it is the middle of N.Y. in the WTC - there would be too much interference. Plus that it would be seen by the people that work there. Then the idiot director says something he do not know anything about: he says that Jet-fuel (Kerosine), could not have burn hot enough (ca. 1400 degrees Celsius to melt steel) to melt the steel, because jet-fuel burns at 1000 degrees Celsius. And it is here where all these conspiracy-theorists losses all their arguments, due to lack of brains. None of these conspiracy-theorists have had basic physics i doubt. The Jet-fuel doesn't need to melt steel. If you just know a little of physics, you would know that heat weakens steel, and more importantly: expands it. Plus much of the interior of the WTC (tables, plastic, plants, etc.) helped the fire get hotter. When the metal expanded, the cement crackled, and weakened the whole structure, so that it all fell down. It is so simple and logical. But of course: conspiracy-theorists doesn't know anything about logic. Also if this world-wide secret American-Jewish-police-state had risen because they planned 9/11.... then why are Alex Jones allowed to live?? Then why can he have his poorly-made websites alone, without the government hacking them?? Why are Alex Jones and other conspiracy-theorists allowed to make all these "documentaries", if they reveal the uncomfortably truth about the crimes of the Bush-administration???The only answer is that there is no police state, that 9/11 was NOT an inside job and that there is NO conspiracy. The conspiracy-theorists is just making this up, because 99 % of them are lonely, and wants to make them selves look important: so they make up this story full of lies, because they want to keep their prejudges that all rich American are evil, and that all Arabs are poor and stupid. Though the world is not that black and white - thank God. Thank God for conspiracy-theorists - people you can look down on, and say to yourself: "Atleast I am not like them"
black_swan_V Wouldn't it be nice if there really WAS a police state in which the police actually cared about doing something about crime on a more responsible scale, on a regular day to day basis? For example, actually doing something about the countless morons who feel fine about the endless noise pollution and life disruption from their pounding car stereos, or the drunks who peer endlessly from their window and yell for no real reason other than to annoy, or for that manner, even more serious criminals who are just let right back out into society? Or where dangerously stupid people (and not just bad drivers either) on your own street actually had to answer to the law on a more long-term basis?Wouldn't it be nice if the people on the street that ambush "journalists" are most likely to interview had an ounce of sense or even a slight degree of intelligence, but then that would be a contradiction since such people would know not to deliberately harass people and especially police during an event like this, or wander around aimlessly in undesirable locations and times in the first place...The really amusing scenes in this fake documentary are when Alex is confronting people who are doing basically the SAME THING he is (although what he is doing is on somewhat of a more ridiculous, exaggerated scale). Here we have this sad slob of a man stalking people and confronting people (not even letting people eat in peace) and complaining about OTHER people filming him! He is harassing, filming, and stalking even the POLICE while complaining how HIS rights are being violated! Can you believe this? Ha ha ha ha ha ha!The fact that this silly movie is even allowed to exist on such a wide scale is proof enough the material within it is a severe fallacy. In short, an okay comedy, but runs far too long and is too repetitive. 1/10
Muttines This film doesn't even profess to offer an objective or impartial account of contemporary events and shouldn't be dismissed out-of-hand for not aspiring to such a chimerical, and practically impossible, goal. Given the overt bias that pervades and plagues the mainstream media, perhaps such self-acknowledged subjectivity is a necessary, if not less deviant, methodological approach. In terms of tone, rhetoric and visual presentation, this documentary issues a rather paranoid, anxious, but nonetheless credible view of the state of the world in which we and our subsequent offspring will live (or perhaps, be condemned?).Jones uses well-researched, factually-supported arguments, most of which can be verified using mainstream media archives, to irrefutably prove the use of explosives to bring down the Twin Towers and (the third) Building No.7 on the 11th of September 2001. However, this aspect only represents a portion of the film's running time - the rest is dedicated to perhaps more shocking, obscure, (yet consistently supported and appropriately-cited) discussions on the subversive funding of Adolf Hitler by American Internationalists and their relationship with the Bush family: a family that today hold an increasingly arbitrary grip on power in the world's most powerful nation. Critics of Jones' work tend to resort to two tactics. The first is 'ad hominem': instead of presenting a logical counter-argument to his well-cited and widely-researched discussion, they attempt to attack the character of the man himself, conveniently bypassing the facts rendered. The second is to ridicule the aesthetic presentation and format of his production: an approach which works toward the same end, and intriguingly avoids confuting the empirical arguments presented in the work. Very much recommended. For more specialised and detailed documentaries scrutinising the official story of 9/11, see the fantastic (and very much BANNED in the Land of the Free) "Loose Change: 2nd Edition" and an equally authoritative lecture recorded at Wisconsin University, Madison and given by the respected academic Dr. Ray Griffin (author of "The New Pearl Harbour" and "The 9/11 Commission Report: Omissions And Distortions").
