Mystic Blade Audience Reviews

Hellen I like the storyline of this show,it attract me so much
Murphy Howard I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.
Loui Blair It's a feast for the eyes. But what really makes this dramedy work is the acting.
Scarlet The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
Leofwine_draca MYSTIC BLADE is a very low budget martial arts flick from Thailand, featuring as its leads a bunch of actors who were stunt men or bit players in the likes of ONG BAK and WARRIOR KING. And yet, despite the lo-fi feel, I found myself enjoying it, at least to a degree. Sure, the non-action bits require fast-forwarding because they're really predictable and not really worth bothering with, but the action does deliver at times. The film is deeply unoriginal and seems to be a cross between ONG BAK and RAMBO in terms of stylistics, with a little Lone Wolf & Cub influence added to the mix. The protagonist is deeply uncharismatic and the most interesting performers are those in support, like GAME OF THRONES actor Conan Stevens and the giant Thai guy. However, the frequent action scenes, particularly in the second half, are quite tolerable, only occasionally spoilt by some silly wire work. Otherwise these actors do have good moves and the violence is quite satisfying.
bazza_mckenzie02 this movie didn't have a massive budget so understand that from the start, but the talent behind it in David Ismalone (you'd know from Ong Bak) the great Tim Man martial arts legend and young up and coming martial arts actor and renowned stuntman Don Ferguson whose film it is.Has a good story for a martial arts movie, everyone who worked on this film gave their blood sweat and tears and worked their guts out.For everyone who knocks it let's see your completed film! this stands above so many martial arts films for fight scenes and story wise been watching martial arts movies since I was 5 years old and this is a top notch film worth a look.Great stuff can't wait to see more of your films.
Tony Bennett The summary says it all really. It was about an hour and twenty longer than it should have been. Actually, I retract that, the cartoon montage pieces were actually not that bad, but they only made up about five minutes of the whole movie.I wish I could charge a creativity fee for the time I wasted watching this movie but I fear the makers couldn't possibly stump up the price. If I could only use one word to describe this cinematic excrement I'd have to invent one by melding "yetch" and "blergh"......maybe "BLYERGHTCH"...I thought the one saving grace would be that it ended without the possibility of ever having a sequel but even that consolation was denied me.I remember seeing a badly dubbed Mad Max clone from Italy in the late Eighty's that contained anal rape and the term "Mother-grabber" in the same scene. After watching this I can understand how those terms can fit together.Shame on you David Ismalone, shame.
jamdifo This is the typical highly skilled trained team of killers, one has a conscious, is left for dead by the rest of the group, but guess what, he's not dead. Oh yeah, they killed his wife. So he seeks out the rest of the team for revenge, taking with him his baby son, who's crying every other minute in the movie. You watch a movie like this for the action, which is a total stinker. Guys throwing their punches in slo mo as to not hurt the other actor. Its dreadful. None of the fight scenes are any good. Also, the lead actor gets stabbed thru the center of the chest (heart?) not once, but twice thru out the movie. The second time he's immediately walking away with his son like it was nothing. The movie is mercifully short but don't waste your time.
