Nudist Colony of the Dead Audience Reviews

Marketic It's no definitive masterpiece but it's damn close.
Acensbart Excellent but underrated film
filippaberry84 I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.
Erica Derrick By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.
Platypuschow Just when you think you've seen every possible "Of the dead" movie along comes this fun little cheesy slice of early 90's goodness.I expected this to be a dumb "Sexploitation" film which by this point were thoroughly dying out but was pleasantly surprised to see a fairly competent comedy.Heavily comically critical of religion, lots of laugh out loud gags and some good ideas this hits more than it misses.Sadly it is shoddily made and the musical portion of this comedy horror is by far it's weakest link. The songs aren't cheesy, they're just straight up bad.Nudist Colony Of The Dead is a fun little comedy feature which made surprise you going in with no expectations. The Good: The regular hilarious religious bible references Some fun slapstick humour The Bad: Cheaply made and it shows Zombies look awfulSongs are pretty bad Things I Learnt From This Movie: There is a passage in the bible about toilet paper How does anyone know that they're in the middle of nowhere? They could be to the side of it! It's an inky dinky doo-da morning The bible says bend her over and smack her other cheeks Nipple lube is something every good Christian girl should have used by the time they're 17 Christians aren't supposed to think..........wait no sorry already knew that
tilleycs First off, if you're looking for a lot of nudity, look elsewhere. Some of the women are topless, but that's it, and once they become zombies, they're all grey, and some of them have clothes on (go figure). But I enjoyed this movie; it doesn't take itself too seriously like a lot of other horror movies, so you don't have to sit there and roll your eyes at the amateur attempts to make you gasp in horror. I thought the songs were great (and a lot better than music in most horror movies), including the title theme, the rap (especially the old grandma doing the dance moves), the "I Don't Care" blues song they sing in the van, and "Inky Dinky Doo Dah Morning". The characters are well defined (the drunk girl, the Chinese guy with the accent, the Bible-quoting guy) and it's fun to see them interact with each other. It's great if you're looking for obscure horror movies to watch and looking for a new one to watch and be entertained by. If that's you, it's a must-see.
Obubier *****WARNING THIS REVIEW MAY CONTAIN WHAT SOME WOULD CONSIDER 1 SPOILER******I happened across this film one Friday night at the Tower outlet video store. I was looking for a trashy low budget horror and got more than I bargained for. This movie is HILLARIOUS- Sick, twisted, and wonderfully low budget. So low budget in fact that there are some parts where the sound isn't even dubbed in. It would seem like the entire budget was wasted on a helicopter rental for a crucial scene (not so crucial that they couldn't have used stock footage). There are many problems with the film, like the one I mentioned above, but for what it is- a low budget campy horror musical with boobs- it's not half bad (and there is definitely a lack of material in that genre!)I wish it would be picked up by a better distributor who would market it like TROMA, and I can't help but wonder if there has ever been a stage adaptation, because I am seriously thinking of doing it. The songs are catchy and the gore is just perfect for the east village stage.
weerdo1482 I got this thinking it would be some sort of a soft porn horror. but, its not. I really don't see the point of this movie. mabe just to offend as many people as possible. christans, jews, gays, rednecks, black people, religous people, and if that s not enough theres the breif nudity. the cover makes it look like its just full of it, oh well. bad movies are great it makes me relized that just about anyone can write anything and people will pay to make it. the singing is a nice little added feature, its the only thing worse than the dialouge
