Robotropolis Audience Reviews

Alicia I love this movie so much
ThiefHott Too much of everything
Raetsonwe Redundant and unnecessary.
InformationRap This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.
rakavichermes The movie had really awesome potential but failed in the end. Over and under acting, and a script that had quite a few flaws. I wanted this movie to be awesome but... I thought this movie was going to be animated after watching the opening scene. It would make some waves if it had been completely animated. The robot movement wasn't horrible and I liked the way they were able to transform to a 4 legged movement with an eye on top of their head. On a side note I was wondering if the bots could track the cell phone signals.I couldn't help but think this was a vehicle to launch a game but have not seen anything on the web concerning such. Several different robots to kill, acquire a code to shut them all down, has all the makings of a great game if done correctly.
fireblazer666 No movie more deserves a one star rating than this.Bad acting. Boring plot. Emotionless, unbelievable garbage. Nothing interesting happens in this movie... and whoever wrote the dialogue shouldn't be allowed the privilege again... let alone be paid for it...I LOVE Science Fiction!! I Love robots. I even love shitty B movies!! But this was just... bad... I cringed frequently at how awful it was... physically cringed!! The CGI is actually acceptable in this. It's pretty okay. Not good, but okay... but the rest of the movie was just... awful...I only watched it to the end because... well... I was doing other things online anyway. There are times when I'm ALMOST MILDLY ENTERTAINED... almost... but then something makes me cringe at how stupid it is... and how unbelievable the acting is...ALSO... recently there was that Sandyhook Newtown shooting (after this movie came out)... and all through out this movie it's talking about New Town... and at one point they're even hiding in a room IN A SCHOOL while people are beings shot and killed by the robots... there was even a little girl they tried to save... and children that got killed... horrible coincidence... but wow... the whole time this felt like a parody of that school shooting :\
boatista24 An obvious rip off of I, Robot and The Blair Witch Project, with even worse shaky camera, this piece of trash reminded me of why there are no longer any drive-in movie theaters. This is a classic example of how the powers that be in Hollywood will try ANYTHING to make a buck. If they thought they could make money off a paper cut, they'd try it. The fact that it is only 80 minutes long is a clear indicator that it was A: a rock bottom script with not much potential to make it even that long, and B: on a shoestring budget. I seriously doubt this film made back the money it cost to shoot it. Easily among the worst movies of the past 25 years, and a prime example of how CGI cheapens movies. If you want to see bad CGI, rent a video game. It would be far more entertaining than this garbage.
eodhasa I do love all things sci-fi, and I've been known to tolerate some fairly bad sci-fi B movies, but this was well and truly awful. No plot to speak of or character development, badly written and some pretty terrible acting to boot. It was almost as if someone stumbled upon a child's short story and decided to run with it as a script. It opens with a rescue/recovery type scene which piqued my curiosity and promised something perhaps more interesting and in-depth to come. Unfortunately the opening scene is arguably the high point of the movie. What came after was just a jumble of badly acted live reporting scenes & interviews with a few chases thrown in later on, but overall nothing anyone will not have seen done better in other movies. Trying to write a summary of this movie is actually incredibly difficult as nothing of note actually happened in it.I honestly don't know how or why I sat thru this until the end. You have been warned!!!
