Southbound Duckling Audience Reviews

Actuakers One of my all time favorites.
SanEat A film with more than the usual spoiler issues. Talking about it in any detail feels akin to handing you a gift-wrapped present and saying, "I hope you like it -- It's a thriller about a diabolical secret experiment."
Arianna Moses Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.
Fatma Suarez The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful
BA_Harrison I preferred it when Tom and Jerry cartoons were simply cat versus mouse, without the need for a third annoying supporting character. Southbound Duckling, as the title suggests, features that horrible duckling Quacker, and rather unsurprisingly, I didn't enjoy this one very much as a result. This time, the cutesy duckling has got it into his head that he needs to fly south for the winter, besides Jerry showing him in a book that domestic fowl do not do this. After several failed attempts to join a flock of wild ducks, Quacker inevitably runs into Tom, who wants to eat the little chap. After more failed attempts to travel South, Quacker and Jerry finally make it to sunnier climes by plane.3.5/10, rounded up to 4 for the finalé, in which Tom finally seems to have the upper hand.
TheLittleSongbird I love Tom and Jerry and I love this cartoon. It is very funny, cute and enjoyable, with a very satisfying ending where the rare thing happens... Tom gets the last laugh! So what are my reasons for loving this cartoon? Well the characters are one- Tom is still the dastardly cat I love him for who gets the worst of the violence, Jerry is really loyal, sweet and cunning and Little Quacker is so cute and adorable. The animation is really lush and beautiful, the music is rousing, the story is well-written, the dialogue Little Quacker has is funny, the pace is fast and furious and the sight gags are incredibly clever and fun.Overall, Southbound Duckling is very funny and cute, with the characters as appealing as ever and clever gags. Plus it is beautiful to watch. 10/10 Bethany Cox
ccthemovieman-1 For all of you out there who root for Tom, and thus almost never are victorious in these Tom and Jerry Cartoons: this cartoon is for you. Yes, the cat lovers will get the last laugh in this one. This Tom and Jerry cartoon features "Little Quackers," Jerry's little yellow duckling friend. "Quackers" decides to head south for the winter, has his bag bagged, hat on and is ready to go. Before he leaves, he says goodbye to Jerry. However, the mouse shows him a book that says ducks don't fly south for the winter. Quackers, however, has made up his mind, says, "Phooey," and that sets up the premise for the cartoon's joke: the little duck's attempts at leaving. Tom gets into the picture a few minutes later which complicates Quackers' attempt to head south even more.I won't say anymore except that it is a solid T&J effort, funny and cute at the same time with a very satisfying ending.
