Star Wars: Revelations Audience Reviews

Karry Best movie of this year hands down!
Solemplex To me, this movie is perfection.
Chirphymium It's entirely possible that sending the audience out feeling lousy was intentional
Billy Ollie Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
XweAponX THIS IS what I mean, when I say, if you wanna play in a sandbox that I have dreamed about playing in all my life, ya better do it RIGHT. Well, these folks did it RIGHT. I only have minimal complaints, chiefly regarding the (Lack Of) acting and the sound quality of the dialog.Everything else in this was very well done- Costumes, Makeup, lightsabre duels, even someone doing Darth Vader's voice. There is one scene where the couple is being chased- They jump onto the top of a moving spaceship. The ship is CGI, but the people are not- And it is seamless. My favourite scene is of course when they fly through the Empire's Graveyard of ships. Fantastic. The worlds that were created, the starscapes. I downloaded the DVD ISO image from the website that hosted it, right after this was announced. My praise of this project is in no way coloured due to the fact that two of my friends, Master Zap and his wife Nina, from Sweden worked on the project. However, it is my belief that the project was elevated in quality because of their involvement.I almost like this more than the last "real" SW films... A serious triumph for Fan Films! If you find this as a Torrent - It is worth the download time. Look for it as a DVD Image File.
Andrew I'm trying real hard to judge this movie based on the fact that's it's fan-film and had virtually no budget, but it's tough.Impressive special effects, the story is OK i guess, and plenty of cool costumes. But trying to watch this movie amidst the horrible acting and dialogue is definitely a test of patience. If I were making a film like this, I wouldn't be in it - because I know i suck at acting. I would find some friend or family member who at least semi-decent and cast them. I'm sure the fame and fortune would be enough to make up for the non-existent salary ;) But seriously, I appreciate the film for what it is - but I can't give it more than 5/10 stars.....
psujedi Considering that these guys were all volunteers and this is the first film they've ever made, this is a tremendous effort! It's amazing how well they know the Star Wars universe and were able to write a script 3 years ago that fits in almost seamlessly into Lucas's own story line. After seeing "Revenge of the Sith," check out "Revelations!" It's a fun ride! I'd never really seen any fan films until this one created such a national buzz--I can't believe how many other creative films are out there that are done by fans! Others should be grateful to the "Revelations" folks for getting the genre of fan films into the national media. And kudos again to the whole crew behind this wonderful work of love!
sdflipper Impressive!! With you budget, you definitely have the talent...It looked like you spent hundreds of thousands. I really hope G. Lucas recognizes your talents and recruits you all for more Star Wars installments; such as the upcoming TV series. I think there is a lot of story and fun out there between the 3 and 4 movies. For you all that watch "fan films" this one is perfect! Not even comparable to about 10 I have looked-not saying they are awful (ok some were), but yours looks like a true feature-in studio-experienced film. Please do another!!! I would have paid full price for this movie. I did share this with a buddy who is a Star Wars fanatic; even though he said it was unusual to have 2 evil figures looking for the emperor's favor; I thought it was well done-and not unthinkable. Now, I need to figure out how to put it on DVD... Thanks a million, Loyal fans of San Diego. LAJB
