Info

Best-selling author Sir Terry Pratchett, diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2007, has one last adventure he wants to go on. Eighteen years ago Terry had a life-changing experience in the jungles of Borneo, where he encountered orangutans in the wild for the first time. Now he is going back to find out what the future holds for these endangered species, and discover a new threat to their habitat that could push them to the brink of extinction. His Alzheimer's will make the trip an incredible challenge both physically and mentally, as he contemplates the role of mankind in the eradication of the planet's species, and considers his own inevitable extinction.

Terry Pratchett: Facing Extinction Audience Reviews

Platicsco Good story, Not enough for a whole film
Sexyloutak Absolutely the worst movie.
RipDelight This is a tender, generous movie that likes its characters and presents them as real people, full of flaws and strengths.
Jenna Walter The film may be flawed, but its message is not.
room102 A documentary about the Orangutans and other animals facing extinction. Terry Pratchett returns to Burneo after 18 years since his last visit there. In the background is Pratchett's own facing of extinction, as he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in 2007, although it's PCA (Posterior Cortical Atrophy) - an atypical variant of Alzheimer's disease which mainly affects visual processing, so his mind seems mostly unaffected.Pratchett, who recently died, wished to die by assisted suicide (this was documented in "Terry Pratchett: Choosing to Die (2011)"), but finally died of natural causes from a severe chest infection with final complications from his Alzheimer's.
