The Cure In Orange Audience Reviews

BootDigest Such a frustrating disappointment
FeistyUpper If you don't like this, we can't be friends.
UnowPriceless hyped garbage
Kamila Bell This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.
jcmcgee1969 "Introduction", Recording of "Relax", from the album Blue Sunshine by "The Glove" "Shake Dog Shake" "Piggy in the Mirror" "Play for Today" "A Strange Day" "Primary" "Kyoto Song" "Charlotte Sometimes" "In-between Days" "The Walk" "A Night Like This" "Push" "One Hundred Years" "A Forest" "Sinking" "Close to Me" "Let's Go to Bed" "Six Different Ways" "Three Imaginary Boys" "Boys Don't Cry" "Faith" "Give Me It" "10:15 Saturday Night" "Killing an Arab" "Sweet Talking Guy" (Performed by The Chiffons over credits.)I absolutely love this band. I cannot express how deep my love for The Cure and their songs goes. This Concert is awesome. Every time I see it, I just wish I could have been their in person to "SKANK & Throw-my-Foot" in the pit. This is a must see!-JCM
Scott Willis I totally agree with the other person's review of this movie. I love it, best concert film I've ever seen! I wore out my copy on VHS also, but still loved watching it. Then I let someone borrow my VHS copy of the movie, they never brought it back (because of how good it is) so I had to do a search on Ebay and buy me another one (used) then I converted it to .mpg to save a good copy of it on my PC and watch it anytime. If you're into The Cure even a little bit, you've GOT TO SEE THIS!! I also agree with the other person's comment about Robert Smith's voice in concert, WOW! He's soooo good! So extremely good with that guitar also, especially on "Strange Days" and "A Forest". I melt every time I watch this.
kplp8797 For any Cure or Goth fan this film is a must see. As far as concert films go, this is by far the best that I have seen. The emotion and atmosphere that go into this concert is beyond awesome. Frontman Robert Smith is one of those rare artists that actually sound better live than on cd. (As opposed to those artists that rely on "studio magic" to enhance their voices but in concert can't carry a note.) My only regret is that I didn't purchase 2 copies as I have worn my original one out. Be prepared though as Robert gives everyone a surprise and shock at the beginning of the film. Tim Pope does an excellent job of camera work even though he steps on the mic cord and provides a little comic relief as he and Robert engage in a bit of tug o war - all without missing a beat...or note!
Icaros An excellent, out-of-print film from a mid-eighties Cure concert in France. Includes classic songs from the "Head on the Door" era and earlier, like "Play for Today," "Kyoto Song," "One Hundred Years," "Faith," and "Three Imaginary Boys." Most interesting are extended versions of "A Forest" and "Sinking." A must see for any fan of eighties gothic/pop rock.
