Tru Confessions Audience Reviews

MamaGravity good back-story, and good acting
InformationRap This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.
Kaydan Christian A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.
Derrick Gibbons An old-fashioned movie made with new-fashioned finesse.
dawgsfan92 I need some help finding this movie! As you'll read below I've looked absolutely EVERYWHERE and yet I cannot find anything about it or find any available copies anywhere! I saw some of it on You Tube. I've looked it up on the internet, ebay EVERYWHERE!! But I just can't seem to find it ANYWHERE!! So now I've come here and I'm wondering if ANYONE knows where I can find this UNBELIEVABLE movie?? I really hope someone can tell me! If anyone has any hints, ideas or know's anyone who might know please contact me!!Thank You so much and I would really appreciate any help I can receive that would be absolutely fantastic!!! PLEASE!!!I REALLY WANT THIS MOVIE!!!Thanks
thecoven_fifoot This is the single best DCOM in existence. I haven't seen this movie in a very long time, due to extremely rare airings, probably because of the delicate subject matter.Frankly, I'm amazed Disney made this movie at all, let alone how wonderfully they handled it. Especially Tru's contest entry. Fantastically done. But am I ever thankful for it.Shia is at his best in this movie, showing his dramatic skill at a level previously unseen. He must have been around fourteen years old when he played this role, and after seeing him on even stevens at the time, I was completely stunned, and in fact still am. Six years later, this performance still gets me uncontrollably emotional. Case in point, the kite and library scenes.Clara Bryant was also spot on, although a couple lines of dialogue seemed a little awkward. I loved how this movie showed how everybody interacted with Eddie, and not just one point of view.It shouldn't have the stigma it is associated with just because it is a DCOM. In fact, it almost redeems all of Disney's other mistakes, like HSM.I was ten years old again, just for a while. It is beautiful.
Ecgtrombone OMG OMG .. ITS MY FAVORITE MOVIE EVER FROM NOW ON... i watched it when it premiered and now i've been thinking of it. i want the book and i want to find a DVD of it. I MUST SEE IT AGAIN! I love the fact that "Even Stevens"'s Shia Lebeof Plays such a dramatic role when normally he plays a comical role. And i love things relating to subjects that have to do with the mind and how it works. My favorite part made me cry... the part where Eddie was flying the kite and it didn't work so he said it must be retarded. It was like he was alluding to himself. Oh yeah the book was good too even though i hadn't read it. Could someone out there please help me find a DVD of the movie. please, and thank you.
theguys1 Tru Confessions is the best Disney Channel movie yet, and they could never top this one. The element that gives the movie it's heart is that it gives you an inside look at mentally challenged person. They are no different than everyone else in the world, and some people don't realize that today. They treat them like garbage, which they are most definitely not. If you watch this movie, it will change your idea of looking at mentally challenged citizens and being scared. This is the best Disney film ever made not only because it delivers a message, but also because it has a heart. This is truly a masterpiece, and it is worth watching.
