New Blood Rising was a professional wrestling pay-per-view produced by World Championship Wrestling that replaced WCW's August PPV event Road Wild. It took place on August 13, 2000 from the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, British Columbia. The name is a reference to the New Blood faction within WCW. The main event was Booker T defending the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Jeff Jarrett. Another primary match was a Triple Threat match between Goldberg, Kevin Nash, and Scott Steiner. Other matches on the card included KroniK defending the WCW World Tag Team Championships against The Dark Carnival (Vampiro & The Great Muta), Lance Storm defending the WCW United States Championship against Mike Awesome in a Canadian Rules match with Jacques Rougeau as the special guest referee,

WCW New Blood Rising Audience Reviews

Moustroll Good movie but grossly overrated
Matialth Good concept, poorly executed.
Arianna Moses Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.
Rosie Searle It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
amanwhorocks 1. 3 Count Vs. Jung Dragons - Very good opener. This bout wasn't a best ladder match of all time, but was exiting. 3 Counts won. 8.5/10 2. The Great Muta Vs. The Cat - Predominantly Martial arts match. Average. 6/10 3. "Positively" Kanyon Vs. Buff Bagwell - Judy Bagwell was on the forklift like a "goal". I hope it is her last appearance, she is annoying almost like the fact, that most innovation wrestler - Chris Kanyon again jobbed to that comedian Buff Bagwell. 4/10 4. WCW Tag Team Title Match: Champs-Kronic Vs. Misfits in action Vs. Mark Jindrake/Sean O'Haire Vs. The Perfect Event - Kronic retained in a OK match. 7.5/10 5. Strap Match: Kidman Vs. The Franchise - Wow, Kidman beat Douglas, surprising. 7/10 6. Major Gunns Vs. Miss Hancock - Better than their last PPV's thing. 6/10 7. The Demon Vs. Sting - Squash. 5.5/10 8. WCW. U.S. Heavyweight Title Match: Mike Awesome Vs. Champ-Lance Storm - Jacques Rosseau changed 4 time the rules of the match during it, so Lance Storm looked weak there, cuz Awesome would be winner 3 times in a normal way, but match was given to Lance. But was great either. 8/10 9. WCW Tag Team Title Match: Champs-Kronic Vs. Vampiro/The Great Muta - Harris Brothers caused, that Vampiro and Muta won the belts 6/10 10. Kevin Nash Vs. Scott Steiner Vs. Goldberg - How could that out of shape Big lazy won over Steiner, I couldn't get.Match was ridiculous. He sucks hard in the ring. 3/10 11.WCW World Heavyweight Title Match: Jeff Jarrett Vs. Champ- Booker T. - Quite good, but nothing special. Booker retains. 7.5/10
