WCW SuperBrawl II Audience Reviews

Afouotos Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.
Nayan Gough A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.
Mathilde the Guild Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.
Raymond Sierra The film may be flawed, but its message is not.
callanvass Live from Milwaukee, WIYour commentators are Jim Ross & Jesse VenturaAttendance 5,000Jesse Ventura gets a grand entrance on a Harley Motorcycle. He sucks up to the Milwaukee fans and makes fun of Jim Ross. Light Heavyweight TitleJushin "Thunder" Liger (C) Vs Brian Pillman Pillman wins the title. One of the greatest openers you'll honestly ever see. It's damn near a classic. Back then, arieal moves weren't so common and it made it seem more special. Now it happens constantly, especially in the indies. It ruins the effect for me. You owe it to yourself to watch this one.****3/4 out of 5Terry Taylor Vs Marcus BagwellBagwell scores the upset win. Decent match, just hard to get invested in. Bagwell was a horrible babyface.**1/4 out of 5Ron Simmons Vs Cactus JackSimmons wins. Abdullah The Butcher and Cactus attack Simmons after the match. The Junkyard Dog comes through the crowd and makes the save to a thunderous reaction. Pretty good match, even better ending. **3/4 out of 5Van Hammer & Z-Man Vs Vinnie Vegas & Richard MortonVegas is Kevin Nash and Morton is Ricky of the Rock 'n' Roll Express. Hammer and Z-Man win. HORRIBLE. This was over 12 minutes, but it felt like an hour. Nash had a few horrible gimmicks in the early 90s in WCW before becoming Diesel and Morton had no business being a heel.*1/4 out of 5Larry Zbyszko & "Stunning" Steve Austin Vs Barry Windham & Dustin RhodesWindham and Rhodes win. Technically fine, but VERY long and awfully dull at points. They stretched it out way too long for my liking and there were way too many rest holds. I didn't care for it, personally. Tag Team wrestling isn't exactly a favorite of mine either.** out of 5Tag Team TitlesThe Steiner Brothers Vs Arn Anderson & Bobby Eaton (C)Even though I'm not overly fond of tag team matches, this could be very, very good. It's announced that Paul E. Dangerously is barred from ringside. The Steiner's initially win the title, but it's ruled that Arn and Eaton win by DQ because Rick Steiner suplexed a referee after being blinded by power. Really stupid finish...which is a shame because the match itself is pretty good.***1/4 out of 5United States Title"Ravishing" Rick Rude (C) Vs Ricky "The Dragon" SteamboatMan! The boos are so loud for Rude, they won't even let him speak. Rude retains the title after Paul E Dangerously (dressed as a Ninja) nails Steamboat in the head with a telephone. The match was disappointingly average. Too many rest holds and they just didn't have the chemistry.** out of 5WCW Heavyweight TitleLex Luger (C) Vs StingSting wins the title with surprising ease. Well, Luger was on his way out...and got jobbed out pretty good here. Not a bad match by any means, just rather uninspiring. Crowd loved the Sting win, though.** out of 5I liked this PPV a lot. It had some dull moments, but much more good than bad. I think it's a solid PPV overall.7/10
amanwhorocks Yes, Jesse Ventura at commentary's table! 1. Light Heavyweight Championship: Flyin' Brian Vs. Champ-Jushin "Thunder" Liger - Great performers, breathtaking moves. New champ. 7.5/10 2. Larry Zbyszko/World TV Champ:Stunning Steve Austin Vs. Dustin Rhodes/Barry Windham - One long bout. Quite boring. 5.5/10 3. WCW World Tag Team Championship: The Steiner Brothers Vs. Champs: Arn Anderson/Beautiful Bobby Eaton - Another superior match, pity of DQ. 8/10 4. US Heavyweight Championship: Champ-Ravishing Rick Rude Vs. Ricky Steamboat - Champ appears first... Despite it was at most technical match, fans get often bored. Shame. And Rude get nice booed before the match. Amazing heel. 6.5/10 Missy Hyat SUCKS HARD! Her annoying scream and clap traps, not again.5. World Heavyweight Championship: Sting Vs. Champ-Lex Luger - Classic match. Sting wins. 6/10
