Info

Australia's Next Top Model is an Australian reality television series, based on a franchise that was created by Tyra Banks with America's Next Top Model. It is produced by Granada Productions and broadcast on the Australian subscription television channel, FOX8. The series' objective is to find a promising but as-yet undiscovered Australian fashion Model and reward her with a platform to boost her chances of forging a successful career within the modelling industry. The series was last formerly hosted by Australian model Sarah Murdoch, who also served as lead judge and co-executive producer of the show for cycles five to seven. Jodhi Meares and Erika Heynatz also served as former hosts. An eighth cycle was confirmed for production and broadcast during 2013. Producers had to find a replacement host before production re-commenced. In April 2012 it was announced that the series would take a break for 2012 due to the fact that producers of the show were having trouble finding a replacement for Sarah Murdoch. It was announced on 19 November 2012 that beauty queen, model, and television personality Jennifer Hawkins was chosen as the new host for the ongoing eighth cycle.

Australia's Next Top Model Audience Reviews

Moustroll Good movie but grossly overrated
Rio Hayward All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.
Portia Hilton Blistering performances.
Fleur Actress is magnificent and exudes a hypnotic screen presence in this affecting drama.
tylinti I was very surprised how good Australias Next Top Model was compared to other versions of Top Model. Very profesionally done interesting photoshoots, smart girls and less drama. One thing this show is notorious - drama. Sometimes girls manage to make it out of the thin air and blow it to he max. Australia's Next Top Model manages to keep a high leve of profesionalism and class, girls don't throw tantrums or get into fights but help and support eatch other. That is an interesting thing to see after catfights. It feels like judges really care to make these girls not only ready for modeling work, but also grow as people.
Kelly Jo After watching the first season of ANTM I was horrified at how Alana was talked about and treated by the judges. Here is this stunningly beautiful young lady and each of you talked about her with such disgust. You said she was fat with an awful body, when in reality she was perfectly curvy and girly. She wasn't a thin young woman who looked as if she was anorexic. I've never seen professionals act as unprofessional as the judges did the day they sent Alana home. It was pathetic and totally turned me off of ever watching any top model show again. I also intend on sharing what you did during judging.I just wanted to cry for her...it was truly one of if not the worst example of bullying, jealousy and viciousness that I've seen on t.v. How embarrassed and hurt she must have been. I imagine her poor parents were devastated to watch their daughter get emotionally abused. How proud these judges must be...what an incredibly nasty example they just set for the young women of not just your great country...but young women world wide.Never again will I watch it and I will not recommend it to anyone...EVER!!!:(
