Info

What do farm animals really do when the humans aren't looking? Just ask Otis, a carefree "party cow" who inherited the job of keeping the barn... and it's residents... in order. But instead of responsibility, Otis is driven by an insatiable need for fun, fun, fun. Along with his barnyard friends Pip, Pig and Freddy, Otis will stop at nothing in his pursuit of a good time... which usually means a few close calls with humans and other threats to what really goes on behind closed barndoors.

Back at the Barnyard Audience Reviews

Clevercell Very disappointing...
Phonearl Good start, but then it gets ruined
Fairaher The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.
Humbersi The first must-see film of the year.
mitsubishizero There's not much to say about it other than it's very meh. The movie it was based on was meh and the same can be said about this show. Personally I like it because it's not the greatest cartoon but the animation is passable and some of the jokes do hit. The show's basically about the misadventures of Otis and friends have daily. One thing that's strange is that Otis' a male yet his body's a female. As for Abby (who's a new character) it's never explained why or how she came at all.Only a handful of the cast from the film return. Probably the best example was Kevin James' absence. The episodes don't break ground but it's still funny to see the gags and the jokes they tell. The show only had 2 seasons and it's not hard to see why. I notice in the second season there're a few changes in the characters: There're more pop culture references in many of the episodes, some of the characters such as Duke are less visible and their personality's reduced. Duke for example originally wanted to succeed Otis as the leader of the barn animals in the first season but this completely removed and Bessie's shown more of an emotional side than the previous season.Overall it's not a bad show, it's just meh. If you get the chance you should see it.
dror-19417 No doubt - as far as I'm concerned this series is in Top 10 of the best cartoon series I have ever seen, it is so funny and the plot is excellent, the characters tear from laughter to tears. It's such a shame that it ended with only 52 episodes, in my opinion it had huge potential. Maybe it's just for me, but the kind of humor in the series is exactly my kind of humor, so I became very attached to it. There is no doubt that today in 2017 I can say that she is even nostalgic, compared to the film I saw and he was nice but no more in relation to the series. Otis, Abby, Peck, Freddy pig,Dukas-they're all just great characters and they tearing from laughter to tears. We want more, so bad that the series ended in chapter 52 only. rate - 9
alister black People often diss this show, and I just can't understand what's wrong with it. I'm not going to spend time arguing every point made, I'll just praise it: My little brother watches Nickelodeon, and as far as I can tell it just went down the toilet since the nineties. I used to love Spongebob and the newer episodes I've watched are godawful. So it does my heart good to actually laugh out loud at a new show. Though it's not as thoughtful as older shows, as I've grown my sense of humor has become more immature, and I can understand why people enjoy stupid stuff. My favorite comedy show now is probably Robot Chicken, which goes under fire for the fact that it's dumb. But what did people expect? But I'm not reviewing that. I'm reviewing Barnyard. Barnyard is ridiculous in plot, has mastered the art of "random humor," but still manages to have a decent storyline. It's like if Robot Chicken kept a plot as opposed to brief clips, but for children and not fart jokes (thank god, by the way. I actually hate fart jokes even though I like Robot Chicken, and am sick of all the fart jokes in kid shows). All in all, it hasn't disappointed me yet and I look forward to watching it in the future.
sinisterdrecc88 There are 8 letters to describe this show, H.O.R.R.I.B.L.E. It is not at all funny, and is just stupid. It seems like farm animals and 8 year olds made up this show, because it's really stupid and terrible. It's about animals on a farm that like to party and goof off when the farmer isn't around. Not a good concept, which is why I think an 8 year old is the director. I never, ever laugh at this show, unless I'm laughing for not good reasons because the show is so stupid and boring. You do not want to watch this show, trust me, unless you are stuck with one channel on your TV and this is what's on, and even then I'd just find something to do by myself.1/10
