Featuring the not-to-be-missed legendary foods that define a location. These are the unique dishes we're willing to travel halfway around the world to sample. Each episode features one locale and at least four of five iconic foods that define the location. Delicious Destinations explores how they are made and take viewers inside the kitchens, factories and farms where these foods are created. We dig into the origin of these popular foods and how they've evolved over time. And for those who like their meals well-seasoned, we dish on the sometimes special lingo associated with these foods and the surprising table manners you absolutely need to know. This is a series that is guaranteed to make you hungry!

Bizarre Foods: Delicious Destinations Audience Reviews

Greenes Please don't spend money on this.
Marva It is an exhilarating, distressing, funny and profound film, with one of the more memorable film scores in years,
Candida It is neither dumb nor smart enough to be fun, and spends way too much time with its boring human characters.
Caryl It is a whirlwind of delight --- attractive actors, stunning couture, spectacular sets and outrageous parties. It's a feast for the eyes. But what really makes this dramedy work is the acting.
Bob Zielinski Delicious Destinations is a series of "B" roll footage and other footage created by people not otherwise associated with Andrew Zimmern which is actually "hosted" by Andrew Zimmern. In reality it's just Andrew Zimmern on a green screen doing voice over for repackaged stock footage of places where he's not there. The production values are low, (especially the green screen), the content is barely watchable and it's more like something that the local Chamber of Commerce put together. In many ways, it's far more Bizarre than anything the good Mr. Zimmern has otherwise done. If you wanted to make it even more Bizarre, Andrew you should probably dress up or use costume props for the places you're supposedly visiting. At least, it'd let everyone else in on the joke.
bart-5 Disappointing. I really like Zimmern and admire him, but standing in front of a green screen and reading the narration is really cheesy, and not in a good way. Did they think no one would notice? The content is pleasant enough, but lacks the interaction of Zimmern with the locals and there is nothing "bizarre" in evidence here. Some of the comments by the locals are so inane (I like this, it is good.) that it's hard to believe that this is not a parody. I also happen to listen to musical soundtracks and hearing Hungarian gypsy and Russian music as background on the Warsaw show just drives home the cheap production values here. Come on, Andy, your fans really expect something better from you.
triawyn this series is a total waste of time. it's all just clips from other travel channel shows. nothing new; he doesn't go there, and most of the times the clips are years old. there was a skyline shot of Atlanta that was not even from this decade. calling it a "new series" is just an insult. travel channel just isn't trying with this one. if you watched any previous bizarre foods episodes you will spot every clip in this rehashed excuse for a show. should be legally called "bizarre foods - you've seen all this already."he's just standing there reading lines. doesn't even go to the "delicious destinations."
chunter76422 OK so now Andrew Zimmern is too lazy to even travel to the Delicious Destinations? Is this the TRAVEL Channel or what?ANDREW ZIMMER, WE KNOW YOU ARE STANDING IN FRONT OF A GREEN SCREEN AND YOU DIDN'T REALLY VISIT ANY OF THE LOCATIONS FOR THIS SHOW!!! What a cop-out, why even have Andrew Zimmernon this show AT ALL? why not give a new host, who is actually interesting, a chance to narrate this show since that's all that Zimmern is doing. I've seen Zimmern go from a kind of simple guy trying unusual foods into someone who is now too lazy to even travel to the locals he's talking about. Maybe someone new could breathe life into this series instead of just standing there looking like he doesn't even care to be there.
