Jim Jefferies, an edgy, foul-mouthed stand-up comedian from Australia, in his mid-30s and living in LA, is endeavoring to make his life and career more “legit,” only to find it a difficult, uncomfortable uphill struggle every step of the way. Jim is encouraged in his quest by Steve, his neurotic best friend and roommate, a cyber-law library salesman who struggles to stay on his feet in the wake of a divorce, and Steve’s brother Billy, who suffers from advanced staged Muscular Dystrophy and is confined to a wheelchair.

Perry Kate Very very predictable, including the post credit scene !!!
Neive Bellamy Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.
Bob This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.
Staci Frederick Blistering performances.
cowmaiden I love this show. It is witty and irreverent. I can't recommend this show to many people, because a lot of people will be offended, but if you actually look deeper, it's sweet and funny and rings true in so many of his rants, (which I love that there is always another foreigner in the background nodding and agreeing completely) Many people don't like Steve, but I think he's perfect. He's the character that is kind of forgotten, and overlooked and he's perfect in that role. At first glance you think they are making fun of handicapped people, but they are some of the truest and real characters, they are people, they have feelings and needs and want to be treated like everyone else, so I love the way they are portrayed. I mean Rodney is absolutely amazing at everything he touches. It's not Politically Correct, which is the best part, because he rings true. People are overly sensitive in today's world, and I love a show that is so not.
jbond5492 I just watched my last episode of Legit. This series started out funny but has sunk to become unbearable. At what point does running over someone's beloved house cat multiple times and then tossed in the dumpster in front of a child become funny? The writers on this show have some serious issues and should seek professional help. This writing is by someone who has obviously has never known the joy and love a pet can bring to a home. This episode perpetuates a sick belief that somehow violence against an animal can be comical. The writing has a stink very similar to the smell of the writing on Wilfred, which I also liked at first but was forced to stop watching for the same reason. To say nothing against the offensive writing on this show would be morally and ethically wrong on my part. This show should be avoided at all costs. Too bad for the non cat hating crew and the fine actors on this cast. I wonder what any of them thought about this script, I can think of an honored place next to my toilet.
jfpoitras This is not worth your time. I can't even imagine why this is classified as comedy. The actors are horrible, aside from DJ Quells who does OK like always. But the script is what makes this series even more difficult to like. Combined together, the bad acting and the poorly delivered lines only makes you wonder how these people can really get paid for doing this. I'm really just filling up lines here, because IMDb requires 10 lines for a review. I don't think I've written many reviews, only when the show/movie is really bad, or really good. This one is about a really bad show to which I wished was better reviewed to have avoided wasting my time on the first 2 episodes.Do yourself a favour, and skip this show, it won't be on TV for long anyway.
Terjesolgard Pilot episode review: I have been a fan of Jim Jefferies for many years. His stand-up comedy is mix of crudeness, vulgarity and pure brilliance. If that doesn't sound like your cup of tea, then there is no point even bothering to check out this series. "Legit" is a show similar to Louis C.K's "Louie", but it's not quite the same since Louie episodes are made up with different sketches. Jim Jefferies plays himself and the story of the pilot is taken from one of his older stand-up routines where he helps his friend's disabled and dying brother get laid at a whorehouse. The dialogue and situations that occur are both funny and well acted, and it is quite moving in it's own strange way. If the rest of the episodes keep up the same quality I think it will be a hit series for us who enjoy dark comedy.
