Tanya, Ed, and their kids, 16-year-old Danika and 12-year-old Bobby, are a middle-class African-American family who open their door for an old friend who needs parenting help. Juggling the demands of single parenthood, Maddie believes her 16-year-old son, Keith, could benefit from living in a traditional family structure, and especially from a strong male influence. They discover that their differences are definitely more than skin deep.

Plantiana Yawn. Poorly Filmed Snooze Fest.
Dorathen Better Late Then Never
Curapedi I cannot think of one single thing that I would change about this film. The acting is incomparable, the directing deft, and the writing poignantly brilliant.
Scarlet The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
littlehottuurkey I have to admit that when first saw a commercial for it I didn't even think twice and i only started watching because someone said it was good. I love the show and I laugh so hard and can't wait for Friday to come. I love the cast and I think they work well together. Every one person is a very talented actor or actress. so if you see this watch cause this show is awesome show.
keldara_1 The basis of the show... not the best. But I have to say right now, I love this show. I haven't missed one episode. Now I don't find many comedy TV shows to be funny in the slightest, but this one makes me actually laugh. Not a slight tee-hee but a loud ha-ha. Granted, the character of Keith ain't that great, whether this be due to mediocre acting or bad scripting, or both, I don't know. However Ed and Pop are by far the funniest characters there, my favorite being Pop. It's refreshing to watch a show that is multicultural, not just white or black. It blurs the line in racial segregation and I thoroughly enjoy it. So to those who don't like it, make your slanderous remarks and begone. It will be canceled eventually, so don't take the time to gripe. It isn't worth it.
dweeness This show is about a white teen boy and his single mom moving in with his black godmother and her entire family. I laughed out loud at least a dozen times in its half hour airing. However, I could not understand why the boy didn't LOCK the doors while he was taking a bath and everybody in the house walked in on him!
budikavlan This is the kind of show you watch out of inertia. It has some laughs, including a few good ones, and it's unlikely to offend many to the extent they would change the channel unless something they really love is on another network. On the other hand, it's not terribly likely to attract anyone on its own. The leads are fine, though J. Mack Slaughter as (ostensibly) the main character could use some time to "find his sea legs" as a TV actor. He's not bad, just not quite at ease. The adults on the show are more natural; unfortunately, they're largely wasted so far.
