94 Feet Audience Reviews

Brainsbell The story-telling is good with flashbacks. The film is both funny and heartbreaking. You smile in a scene and get a soulcrushing revelation in the next.
Hadrina The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful
Rosie Searle It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
Sarita Rafferty There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.
bkoganbing 94 Feet tells the story of a small town in rust belt USA where the main employer is a coal mine. As the demand for coal lessens and lessens owners like Larry Wilcox have to make some critical decisions concerning layoffs. Even at that it's only a matter of time before the whole operation shuts down in any case. There's a lot of politics and a lot of prejudice going on in who stays and who goes. But the whole thing becomes academic when there is a mine cave in and a bunch of miners are trapped. That this film is a Christian one is a given so certain parameters are observed. But if it were not it is entirely natural that people would start channeling into whatever spirituality they have to either get through the crisis or accept the inevitable. That is precisely what is done in 94 Feet. The film probably won't get beyond church audiences. Stil it is one of the better Christian films out there if a bit preachy.
dianeirene The story revolves around a young married couple with a son. The Father Chris has a job at a mine that will be closing and he decides to quit and try something new. The story that happens within the story is that a tragedy occurs changing everyone's life forever. I liked this movie because it really shows what it means to be a good person helping others at your own expense. That is something that is needed nowadays. Everyone lives for themselves. This movie is a commentary on how an unselfish act can benefit another human being. We need each other and if we think not we are fooling ourselves and we'll live a life that floats on the surface and has no depth. This movie was based on true events and it is a story we can all benefit from.
gabaod2 This has some really bad acting in it.. Not to mention some really bad issues with sound throughout various scenes ie using 2 cameras and not normalizing the audio afterwards.Plus I am not sure if this was a movie about a town? miners.. Or religious people praying and talking about god nonstop.. The plot on this really could be updated to include how religious and preachy this is.There are much better options to watch than this. So many scenes are way too long. This film could be cut down by 80% and still show the same plot.Beware and don't waste your time.
