Andaz Apna Apna Audience Reviews

Marketic It's no definitive masterpiece but it's damn close.
Iseerphia All that we are seeing on the screen is happening with real people, real action sequences in the background, forcing the eye to watch as if we were there.
Rosie Searle It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
Scarlet The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
prashantvashishth Never have I seen a better movie than AAA when it comes to comedy. Watch the flick without a second thought: I assure you'd watch it again and again and again and never get jaded of its masterclass.
SnoopyStyle Raveena Bajaj is an heiress from London who has come to India looking for a man. Amar and Prem are two of the many men trying to make a match. Both slackers are from working class families. The two lying rivals join forces to get rid of the other suitors. Raveena's father's secret twin also has a scheme to get the family fortune. This is an old fashion screwball comedy from Bollywood. It has the broad vaudevillian comedy with the prerequisite song and dance. Comedy often struggles to cross national boundaries. Reading subtitles is an extra hurdle that one must fight through. Aamir Khan and Salman Khan are both charismatic performing fools. Their madcap antics are light fun. It's the broadest of comedy in the old fashion sense and one can feel the fun.
Puneet Verma After approximately 22 years past its release, "Andaz Apna Apna" continues to enthrall its audience like no other Bollywood film. It has achieved a cult status in the brethren of Hindi cinema and will always be remembered as one of the best comedy movies of all time. Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi this movie presents a new side of its lead actors Salman Khan and Aamir Khan. Both have done exceedingly well with their comic poise and timing. Another thing about the film is that is clichés which would get any film panned works wonderfully for it. Names of bygone characters of Hindi cinema – Robert, Teja, Amar and Prem add to its charisma and mass appeal. Even the side characters of the movie like Shakti Kapoor, Harish Patel (lodge owner) have performed their parts brilliantly and have never let the comic intensity of the film break. Compared to the present era of comedy in Bollywood where you cannot sell joke without giving a sexual meaning to It; this movie reminds us how a cult classic is made.Coming to the music of the film; the songs of the film are not worth remembering and you forget about the lyrics as soon as they get over. Though the lead players get all the applause and rightly so, you should reserve some of your applause for the dialogue writers- for me personally the scene where Aamir Khan spells out "Aap purush hi nahi, mahapurush hai" stands out, not just for the effortless dialogue delivery by him but also for the subtle changes in dialogue when the viewer least expects it. Leaving apart music; this movie has all its bases covered. A very good story and screenplay coupled with brilliant performance by everyone in its cast makes it my favorite Indian Comedy till date.
ammubharatram The movie's comedy is completely unrealistic. It will be really difficult to laugh unless you're ready to go crazy and create laugh for your favourite heroes. Even though I enjoy a lot of humour and I've tried to be patient throughout the movie, I couldn't watch the movie beyond 1 hour 15 minutes.I also understand that the film is really nostalgic for many of the youth in 1990's, so I don't mean to hurt them by this. Who knows? Maybe this would have been my favourite movie if I watched it 10-15 years ago!In my case, the rating from IMDb has misled me in watching this movie.
