Biotherapy Audience Reviews

Sexyloutak Absolutely the worst movie.
Chirphymium It's entirely possible that sending the audience out feeling lousy was intentional
Paynbob It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.
Jakoba True to its essence, the characters remain on the same line and manage to entertain the viewer, each highlighting their own distinctive qualities or touches.
WeYreAoung Biotherapy is a cheesy Japanese horror that has the cliché story that might have been repeated a few times, but with scientists, sadly, the unoriginal story isn't enough, we get this very cheesy alien disguise, who appears to wear clothes, which we should explain which planet where aliens dress like human, all we got is a big fat ignorance from the director, he clearly was making a bad movie right on set and we're supposed to have that feeling, but basically Plan 9 is the best worst movie is the feeling I'm having, at least that film was fun. This was not. This is just a terrible movie with a dull story that has been used several times. We get it.Biotherapy might have been a good horror short but it's just a brainless gore fest where the alien goes on a rampage and kills people without any explanation. Why is the alien killing people? Where did the alien come from? It's best for the director to not answer these questions because he's more brainless than this movie.Biotherapy has some of the worst special effects on screen. Every creep who watches this just loves how bad the FX is. We can see the freaking pixels around the alien's hands. Biotherapy has a really irritating sound queue that loops over and over until you will go almostly insane. Biotherapy is pretty much a lost Japanese horror film and deserves that treatment.
BA_Harrison If, like me, you are a gore-hound in possession of an un-subtitled and un-dubbed copy of this film, and your Japanese is a tad rusty (ie., you don't understand a word they are saying), then worry not: at 35 minutes long, Biotherapy is still entertaining stuff, even if you haven't a clue what is going on. Thanks to some brilliantly realistic and very bloody special effects, the film is definitely worth a watch if splatter is your thing. The story, from what I could gather, sees a glowing, masked, hat-wearing alien (who seems to be in search of some kind of special chemical), chasing a group of scientists and killing them in a variety of nasty ways. Gruesome highlights include an impressive eyeball removal, death by broken test tubes (they are rammed into a woman's chest and her blood pumps messily out of the ends—very juicy!!), and a yucky disembowelling. At the end of the film, the alien is unmasked, revealing a rather amusing toothy creature.Biotherapy is good gory fun, and perfect fare if you've a tight schedule and can't fit in a full feature.
ChiefGoreMongral Pygmies have a seat class is about to begin. It's time for another review from your off the wall movie reviewer Professor Chief GoreMongral. Today we will discuss a short film called Biotherapy. A movie that most of you gore and horror movie fans in the know have probably heard of. It comes from the Land of the Rising Sun and from what I have heard it is suppose to be a fun 35 minute ride of pure goregasims (im patenting that word). Does it stack up lets take a look.First off I must say that I searched high and low for a subtitled version of this but to my disappointment none could be found so I had to settle with the straight Japanese Language version with no subs. Now from what I can make out this film is about a scientist who has created a special formula (KFC, Coca Cola maybe) that aliens seem to be after so for the remainder of the running time we have people running from an alien that is trying to get this formula. We also get people getting there inerts rip out by an alien, a professor having his eyeball removed (very convincing effect) a new way of administering I.V.s using nothing but test tubes and 1 or 2 other unfortunate demises as well. The question is did I like it..yes and no. I did like the convincing gore effects that were used and I think that the story was passable enough to have been stretched out into at least an 80 to 90 minute film (more on that later). The real problem I had was even though it sounds like a lot of gore for such a short time frame there sure was a lot of talking going on that unfortunately I could not understand, so I had to kind of ad lib what was going on. Subtitles really could have helped. Also as much hype going in I was really expecting a lot of wall to wall gore for 35 minutes and I got about half of that. Again the gore that was on display was nice I just wish there would have been more of it.In closing, you get a short gore flick like this expecting a monster bloodbath. You get all the hype as being nasty but when its all said and done you get about half of what you are expecting. Again is it bad no just not as good as advertised.6/10: Gorehounds if you have seen the best and just want to see another gore movie with well done gore effects give it a go just do not expect the "Braindead" of splatter shorts. Others need not apply. Movie needed, like the hick song says, a little less talk and a lot more action, for its running time.A longer running time could have fleshed out the talking with some more gore and SOMEONE PLEASE SUBTITLE THIS FILM!!! The version I watched was from a "special" order I put in. Like I said all the known versions have no subs. Until next time class is over !!
HumanoidOfFlesh "Biotherapy" is a fairly nasty Japanese gorefest about a group of Japanese scientists stalked and viciously butchered by a creepy-looking alien. This relatively unknown ultra low-budget splatter film is rather well-made and captivating. The gore effects by Osamu Miki are effective and suitably nasty for example the scene where a scientist has his eye pulled out is extremely graphic. There is also incredibly bloody moment in which a female scientist is sadistically murdered by having broken test tubes jammed into her body and the blood is spraying everywhere."Biotherapy" is not as sickening as Daisuke Yamanouchi's "Red Room" series or Tamakichi Anaru's ultra-nasty "Women's Flesh",but it certainly provides plenty of red stuff for fans of crazy Japanese splatter.Give it a look,if you can find it.8 out of 10.
