Boat Trip Audience Reviews

Hellen I like the storyline of this show,it attract me so much
Wordiezett So much average
Odelecol Pretty good movie overall. First half was nothing special but it got better as it went along.
InformationRap This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.
Python Hyena Boat Trip (2002): Dir: Mort Nathan / Cast: Cuba Gooding Jr., Horatio Sanz, Roger Moore, Vivica A. Fox, Lin Shaye: Amusing idea that expresses isolation both at sea and two straight males surrounded by a particular sexuality that makes them uncomfortable. Cuba Gooding Jr. and Horatio Sanz are tricked into boarding an all gay cruise. Gooding is depressed after his girlfriend breaks up with him upon his proposal. Sanz views the cruise as an escape. Simple setup concludes as a farce but director Mort Nathan never exploits raunchy sex themes, which might have reduced the film to clichés and stereotypes. Its strongest element is its two fish out of water leads who are in fine comic form. Gooding falls for a dance instructor while Sanz attempts to seduce every female on board. Roger Moore as a gay pilot is a steal but perhaps if the role was broader than it would propel above standard comic level. Vivica A. Fox is unfortunately cardboard and only seen as a potential hookup for Gooding. Lin Shaye plays the coach instructing the girls and growls at the male leads any time they get too near to these girls. It plays like a gay version of Out to Sea with a theme that suggests that homosexuals can be identified as most anybody. Some moments of humour misfire or will be viewed as tasteless but this amusing film somehow touches just outside our comfort zone. Score: 6 / 10
Nick Damian Saw this on TV...I was about to rent it, but well...I'm glad that I didn't.I would have to cross the city, because there are no video rental stores in my neighbourhood and yeah...that sucks.Anyway...with movies like this, it's no wonder the gay and straight population will never really gel. This does nothing more than make fun of gay people and straight people. It certainly doesn't bring them together and make it more tolerable. This was retarded overall - with a few mild chuckles and that's about it.As I was too lazy to get up and change the channel or look for the remote control, I kept this on...while there could be worse, there could also be far better.
danmax Okay people, i read so many mixed reactions about this one, that I literally tip toed to watch it. My friend Evan hated, and said it was worse than Dogville, but my Dad said it was great. And i am a big Horatio Sanz fan, but who isn't?!... so I ventured.I loved it! Don't let the liberal media fool you, Academy Award winner Cuba Gooding Jr. is a great comedian and scholar, and he manages to cruise this moving picture with grace and gusto. There are some darker, gross out moments, but they serve the story (just like the gross out moments in any Cronenberg or Bela Tarr films). Vanessa Williams (Ugly Betty) is great as the b***h, but her character is well developed and goes well beyond clichés.Till next time.
dobbin-4 Boat trip is the 2002 movie starring Cuba Gooding Junior and Horanta Sanz that I originally only watched it because of the 60 seconds Will Ferrell was in it for. The movie is about Jerry and Nick who mistakenly get on a gay trip after a gay and angry travel agent(Will Ferrell) sends them maliciously on a cruise for homosexuals. The movie is pretty funny while will definitely never make it even close to the top 100 best comedy movies ever it is good for a few laughs. I think that Cuba Gooding Junior would have had a lot of fun doing this and Horanto Sanz is really creepy but I think he was meant to be. Overall I think this movie was lots of fun and you should sit down for 90 minutes and laugh out loud. I rate this movie 63%. This movie would be most liked by people 15-25.
