Contagion Audience Reviews

Maidgethma Wonderfully offbeat film!
Exoticalot People are voting emotionally.
Hayden Kane There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes
Rio Hayward All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.
Laura Wrenn The movie "Contagion" seemed like a realistic and imaginable plot. The actors in the movie could have "acted" a little better. I do not believe that the movie writer or director did enough research as far as terminology and vocabulary use in scientifical and medical information. The movie seemed a bit disorganized and I couldn't tell if the movie was going to turn into a romance or stay on the "sci-fi" side of it. The precautions and information that the story line put out seemed a little elementary and rudimentary. The movie appeared to me that it would be more complicated than straight forward. The ending was very predictable and of course the movie always ends with a hero, survivor, and a small kid that "held the key", in the case of the movie, the cure.
Vahe E Leaving you with a feeling as if you've just gone through a spontaneous lobotomy, "Contagion" directed by John Murlowski gives off the token aura of a made-for-TV movie. A plot shallower than a kiddie-pool and character development mirroring that of a bed-time story combine to make the perfect recipe of mediocrity. The cast starring Bruce Boxleitner and Megan Gallagher give little depth other than an awkward "chemistry" which leaves you rolling your eyes. The most notable appearance is Lin Shaye who most recently starred in Snakes on a Plane (2006) but other than this exception, the cast have seldom seen the big stage and understandably so. The most prominent feature of this movie is unarguably the low-budget feel which it gives off which one can't help but notice. While watching the movie you'll find yourself in a constant state of deja-vu. "Every breath you take could be your last." sounds like a welcoming fate as the 93 minutes pass by before you.
sixshooterq I recently viewed the movie Contagion and was amused by the concept of the movie. I also was amused by the extremely bad acting. I believe they made the movie in a rush. I hope that's the excuse. For example the female doctor taking care of the president vividly explained to her assistant that it was a level four virus. Which is extremely deadly. Well after telling him that she rubs her lip just after touching the level four virus. That made me laugh out loud! Also the smart mouth elusive kid. " Who'd ever thought he has the carrier of the virus." The movie was extremely predictable and poor. I don't have cable and I haven't seen a movie in a long time, but I can still recognize a poor movie and that was a prime example of a poor movie.Quinton H.
rparker-10 From the gripping opening scene of the movie I was sure it was going straight to the B movie hall of fame. Although I'm sure the actors in the film have preformed in some riveting pilots their performance in this movie was below par. From the awkward sexual tension between doctor and patient, to the all so intimidating secret service agents the cast was horrible. To make the situation worse the flow of the movie was hit and miss. At times you could see where the movie was going then you would be taken across the street to bust the terrorists den and left wondering what in the world happened. The actual plot was somewhat believable; however, in this day in age it is hard to believe that terrorists could set up shop in the same building as the president and not be found. Also, it is amazing to me that enough antibodies could be produced for the 200 plus people trapped in the hospital, and in less then a week. I think the producer needs to get with the CDC and tell him the trick, because decades of science have not been able to find a cure. On a more positive note I sure am glad that Dr. Landis and the President are going to be swapping there own contagions. (lets see her whip up a cure for the gift that keeps on giving).
