Ed, Edd n Eddy's Big Picture Show Audience Reviews

Intcatinfo A Masterpiece!
Comwayon A Disappointing Continuation
StyleSk8r At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.
Geraldine The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.
patboldt This "Big Picture Show" is one of the best finales for anything....ever! The opening 20 minutes quite possibly is one of the best pieces of animation in Cartoon Network history with slow build up and huge payoff. That's not to say that the rest of the movie isn't good, it is, but the opening 20 minutes is just phenomenal. The actual animation itself, the tension, and the writing are just perfect. If it carried that for the entirety of the movie, I would easily give this 10 stars, maybe even 11. That being said, the movie itself is quite good for Ed Edd n Eddy and feels like a loving homage to fans of this cartoon and a passion project like the modern Samurai Jack reboot. For a comedy cartoon like this, I never expected it to get emotional and deep, nor did I expect it to get dark. And this is for a series which has a creepy theory that everybody is dead and in purgatory! The main trio are the stars in this story and every second they have on screen is just golden from the moment they are introduced to the encounter with Eddy's brother. The problem is that the movie spends a lot of time on the side characters. Of them, only Rolf, Johnny, Sarah, and Jimmy are actually interesting. The whole thing with Kevin and the whole bike subplot kinda comes out of nowhere and doesn't do anything exceptional and the Kanker sisters don't do that much despite having considerable screen time. Also some jokes don't really work, but they are pretty rare so it's not a major flaw. What really makes the "Big Picture Show" amazing is that it has so much love put into it. This easily could have been a cheap gimmik to make some easy money but the creators really went out of their way to make this as amazing as possible. The sound editing and cartoon violence are the best parts of the animation (it feels like Tom and Jerry violence and it's so beautiful.) As for sound editing, every sound effect is just great and it's so satisfying to hear constant animal sounds, it makes everything seem chaotic which perfectly goes well with the tone and atmosphere. Overall I'd give the opening a 10/10 and the rest a solid 8 out of 10. This is wonderfully made and easily the best TV special ever made, at least for Cartoon Network.
AgentSniff As I write this review this movie has well deserved 8.9/10 score, an I can tell you this; It's a masterpiece. The opening is extremely well done, and the story is well told. If you haven't see the series, check a couple of episode to get a hold of the characters, because this movie is just for the fans. It's almost all of every Ed, Edd 'n' Eddy-fans dreams come true. There is hilarious jokes, actual character development, something that's rare in cartoons. The creators know that we love these characters and they makes them deeper and even better. The writing is very well done. The voice acting is great as usual. There is a lot of great sequences, and a lot of references to older episodes of the series, the filmmakers take good care of the story the establishes through out the seasons. Watch this movie and have very, very good laugh.
IMDb Updater (Prehistory96) The Great Ed, Edd n Eddy's Big Picture Show is literally Immense. The Greatest of All movies, and the last of their kind. No other movie will replace it not even shows of any channel will be able to compete with The Official Movie EVENT. The Ed, Edd n Eddy Big Picture Show is way more complex than any movie played on Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Disney Channel, or any other channel to the viewers. (Ed, Edd n Eddy's Big Picture Show)Respectively deserves more than a review. Last of The Cartoon Cartoons, Last of The Fridays Shows and know the last of their kind. Cow & Chicken, I Am Weasel, Scooby Doo, Johnny Bravo, Dexter's Laboratory, Tom & Jerry, The PowerPuff Girls, The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, Codename:Kids Next Door, Sameri Jack, Foster's Home for Imagenary Friends, Teen Titans, but only Ed, Edd n Eddy continued until the movie of which told it all. Absolutely no upcoming shows like Adventure Time & Generator Rex or The Regular Show. Ed, Edd n Eddy shall be missed and remember-ED.
bearfaceproductions I thought that this wouldn't be good since I thought that Ed, Edd and Eddy wouldn't make a good movie, but I was wrong. I laughed so hard the jokes and humor of the Eds. Looks like the series ends here, but it ends in an awesome way that everybody, including the fans, will be really satisfied. The movie has a great plot and its and adventure that stays true to the series. The movie is worthy of being in cinemas, everybody of any age is willing to enjoy this masterpiece. I did not expect this movie to be so good, if your an Ed, Edd and Eddy fan, do not miss this great work of cartoon art. Cartoon Network should have stayed with this show, these kind of shows are the ones that keep cartoon network with high ratings. But without the Eds, Cartoon Network is sure to fall.
