Kong: King of the Apes Audience Reviews

MusicChat It's complicated... I really like the directing, acting and writing but, there are issues with the way it's shot that I just can't deny. As much as I love the storytelling and the fantastic performance but, there are also certain scenes that didn't need to exist.
Suman Roberson It's a movie as timely as it is provocative and amazingly, for much of its running time, it is weirdly funny.
Loui Blair It's a feast for the eyes. But what really makes this dramedy work is the acting.
Freeman This film is so real. It treats its characters with so much care and sensitivity.
xfactor-78139 So the characters aren't the most developed and there's a heavy-handed environmentalist message. WHO CARES? It's a giant bloody monkey, what did you expect? Do you need anything else? One of the last episodes of the recent season involved, no exaggeration, the giant monkey fighting a giant man-cyborg riding a T-rex-pteranodon hybrid in a former amusement park. It's like a Disney XD cartoon, mindless action of the best sort. You need no further explanation, It all boils down to the formula of "Giant Ape beats up dinosaurs and saves the day." There's always something going on onscreen and it did hold my interest pretty well. The characters, while not-well developed, didn't steer away from the action with layers of annoyance and boredom, which I appreciate. All and all, while it's no "Stranger Things" it is entertaining, as long as you don't expect much.
piggies-84240 the show can be very cringy at times with the protagonists but the villains are great and make the show really enjoyable to watch. i love botila and i forget that she is a robot, and richard is by far the best character in this show in my opinion. i would love to see richard embark on his own arc and discover why he is so evil. i also really want to see more amy, and hope her character becomes more developed. i really want to see richard and amy to becoming at least friends, and hopefully become lovers, all honesty it would be really cool and it would be an excellent opportunity to see some character growth on them, they are polar opposites after all and just see the chemistry between them. with season 2 confirmed, i cannot wait.
jenniferdannelly My 3 kids aged 10, 8 and 5 (2 boys 1 girl) LOVE this show and are very concerned about if and when there will be a second season. Therefore I decided to leave this review about how much they love this show in the hopes that it will help the show be continued on for many more seasons. I personally love how it promotes a good attitude toward animals, and promotes saving animals close to extinction. My kids particularly like the battles at the end of the show between Kong and the bots. I do wish it wasn't two brothers in the same family that are the main conflict in the show, however having two sons myself I can see the appeal. And my kids are BEGGING to find out what happens to KONG and friends after the last episode and the volcano!
jmichaellovvorn Kong of the Apes is a good fun kids Netflix original show. It follows the adventures of a futuristic King Kong as he and his friends protect the people and nature from a jealous super villain cyborg and his robotic dinosaur army. The show is predictable,as are most kid shows when viewed by adults. It teaches kids that the natural world must be protected and is easy for them to understand. The humor is harmless classic kids stuff. Adults may or may not be amused depending on their humor type.By far the coolest feature of this show is the unlocking system. Each episode you watch unlocks items and "battle" episodes which encourages kids to watch the WHOLE show if they want the extra content. So it feels like a game.I recommend this to as a parent to parents who believe teaching their kids to protect the natural environment, and like a little Sci-fi fun with dinosaurs!
