Hellen I like the storyline of this show,it attract me so much
VeteranLight I don't have all the words right now but this film is a work of art.
Pluskylang Great Film overall
Darin One of the film's great tricks is that, for a time, you think it will go down a rabbit hole of unrealistic glorification.
ma-cortes Mid-sixties Istambul comes across as very European locations and serve as an excellent backdrop for most of the action . The plot was a satisfying mix of set pieces and unexpected plot twists . An agreeable all action sixties Euro-nostalgia trip , being fast paced and rightly developed . The film concerns about an American agent called Dick Malloy (Ken Clark) assigned by CIA Chief Heston (Philippe Hersent) to save an abducted scientific named Kurtz (Ennio Balbo) who has invented a weapon capable of disintegrating solid matter . The scientist is kidnapped by a tyrant criminal band led Goldwyn (Franco Ressel) , which intends to sell the scientist to the highest bidder and his disintegrating artifact to best auction . In the course of the investigation , Dick meets beautiful women as Romy Kurtz (Evi Marandi) and Dolores (Mikaela) , who will help him find the professor . Along the way , Malloy travels various countries as France , Spain and Turkey to find out clues about the scientist taken by the mean kidnappers . Shortly after , Dick Malloy and the scientist's daughter , Romy , set out to track down the abducting and rescue the scientist located at a hot island . But Russian agents equally will go to an island to free the scientist . ¨From Orient with Fury¨ or ¨Agent 077 operation Istanbul¨ is a Spanish-Italian co-production about secret agents very usual by that time of the 60s . The origin results to be the ¨James Bond¨ series that caused an authentic flood of copies , imitations and rip offs , each time more awful . With the explosion of ¨007 agent¨ on to the movie world in the early 60's and particularly : ¨James Bond against Dr No¨ and ¨From Russia with Love¨ (Terence Young) , every producer attempted to duplicate that exciting genre . This multinational effort is relatively amusing as well as fast paced and doesn't take itself too seriously . Fun and moving snapshot in time and place in which a secret agent undertaking dangerous missions , at the same time falling in love with gorgeous girls . One of the main main attractions of this picture is the continuous and rapid action . It keeps stirring , covering a great number of locals , such as gambling clubs , casinos , hotel pools , boats, ferries public , auctions gallery , public baths , and involves a lot of brawls and fights . Moving film in which there are nail-biting action scenes , intrigue , blasts , suspenseful set pieces and mediocre European stars , if not much continuity . While obviously not having the budget of ¨007¨ movies it does its best to exploit the Madrid , Paris and Istanbul scenery . An action-filled European thriller flick in which the brave protagonist falls in love for attractive women and there are some thrilling chases along the way before the final takes a slight twist . So-so thriller that follows the exploits and moving adventures of a rogue secret agent , the Muscular American actor Ken Clark , a former model, he appeared in 'tough' western roles under contract to 20th Century Fox and then had a solid run as the second lead of several low-budget, cult science-fiction films in the 1950's ; he , subsequently , moved to Italy during the 60's to star in spaghetti westerns and sword and sandal epics . As he starred all kind of movies as "Hercules Against the Barbarians" , ¨Maciste against Mongols¨, ¨Charada international¨ , ¨Operation Lady Chaplin¨ , ¨Desert commando¨ , ¨The road to Fort Alamo¨ and ¨Ringo of Nebraska¨. Sympathetic acting by Ken Clark as a type of James Bond as well as a young and adventurous seducer stunningly accompanied by the really charming women as Margaret Lee , Evi Marandi and Mikaela . In the picture appears habitual actors of co-productions and being a Spanish production here shows up several notorious secondaries as Tomás Blanco , Lorenzo Robledo , Mikaela and the great Fernando Sancho , Spaghetti Western ordinary . And Italian actors , customary actors of this kind of genres , Spaghetti or Eurospy as Franco Ressel , Luciano Pigozzi , Pasquale Basile , among others . Evocative cinematography by Juan Julio Baena , including the exotic '60s atmosphere , though a perfect remastering is necessary , because the film copy is washed-out . Being shot in Paris , Madrid ,Istambul that are widely and marvelously shown . Lively and catching musical score by Piero Piccioni , though including dated songs from the 60s . The picture has action packed , suspense , tension, thriller but with lackluster and no much budget . The film is fast movement besides it is developed in various scenarios though specially on Istambul and the hot island . However the movie is a bit boring and there are situations and images that are ridiculous and embarrassing . This fast paced and action filled European spy flick was regularly directed by Sergio Grieco , he often used the pseudonym Terence Hathaway who directed several films in diverse genres , as adventures and action , especially . Sergio was a craftsman who made all kinds of genres as Thriller and Eurospy movies : ¨The beast with a gun¨ , ¨Rififí in Ámsterdam¨ ¨Charada international¨ , ¨Operation Lady Chaplin¨, ¨Assault to England Crown¨ , ¨Operation Mogador¨ ; Adventure and historical : ¨Sargento Klems¨ , ¨Una Spada Per l'impero¨ , ¨Julio Caesar against pirates¨ ¨Salambo¨ , ¨Le Notti Di Lucrezia Borgia¨ , ¨La Regina Dei Tartari¨, ¨Il Capitano Di Ferro¨ , ¨Il Diavolo Nero¨ , ¨Lo Spadaccino Misterioso¨ and Nunsexploitation : ¨The sinful nuns of Saint Valentine¨. Rating: Average but entertaining .
zardoz-13 Exotic locales, gorgeous gals, a virile hero, and several rugged action scenes make "Beast with a Gun" director Sergio Grieco's "From the Orient With Fury" a tolerably entertaining espionage epic. This constituted the second of the three Dick Maloy, Agent 077, movies,an obvious derivative James Bond knock-off lensed in a variety of international settings with larger-than-life heroes and villains. Ken Clark acquits himself well in the role of the two-fisted CIA agent who must rescue a scientist from the villains. The scientist, Professor Frank Kurtz, has perfected a beta ray gun that can disintegrate any metal. The action shifts from Paris to Madrid to Instanbul as Maloy and Kurtz's daughter try to find him. Franco Ressell makes an excellent villain who abducts the professor and tries to throw the CIA off the trail by staging the professor's death. Despite a healthy looking budget, "From the Orient With Fury" isn't as furious as it could have been.
bensonmum2 From the Orient with Fury (or one of the other half dozen names this movie goes by) is Ken Clark's second outing as Dick Malloy, Agent 077. While I didn't enjoy it as much as the first in the series, Mission Bloody Mary, it's still a fun movie and definitely worth checking out if you're a fan of Euro-Spy films. In this one, Malloy is searching for a kidnapped scientist who has developed a beta ray that will instantaneously dissolve all metal. Along the way he runs into a pack of baddies intent on stopping him, Russian spies, and enough beautiful women to make even James Bond envious. I'll be honest - the plot doesn't really matter much. There were times as I was watching From the Orient with Fury when I couldn't remember what Malloy's ultimate mission was. But I still was having fun, so who cares. Ken Clark has an easy going air about him that makes him great to watch. I'm really starting to enjoy his work. He's joined in the cast by one of my new Euro favorites, Margaret Lee, Evi Marandi, and the ever-present Franco Ressel. It seems sometimes that I run into Ressel in just about every Italian movie I watch. Terrific location shots from Paris to Madrid to Istanbul add to the overall feel of the film. If I had to point to one weakness that keeps me from rating From the Orient with Fury as high as its predecessor it would be the repetitive nature of some of the fight scenes. I think Malloy runs into and fights the same four or five henchmen at least a eight or nine times. It does tend to get a bit old. Otherwise, I've got few real complaints. I'll give this one a 6/10 upon my initial viewing.
