Hollywood Flies Audience Reviews

Baseshment I like movies that are aware of what they are selling... without [any] greater aspirations than to make people laugh and that's it.
MusicChat It's complicated... I really like the directing, acting and writing but, there are issues with the way it's shot that I just can't deny. As much as I love the storytelling and the fantastic performance but, there are also certain scenes that didn't need to exist.
Dynamixor The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.
Dirtylogy It's funny, it's tense, it features two great performances from two actors and the director expertly creates a web of odd tension where you actually don't know what is happening for the majority of the run time.
bkoganbing The only two names you will recognize in the cast of Hollywood Flies are Casper Van Dien as a rich club owner who is now confined to a wheelchair because of a car wreck he caused while driving intoxicated and Brad Renfro as a sad sack bank robber. I guess they were there for a little bit of box office insurance, but these two both saw better film projects.Van Dien's main squeeze Caprice Bourret has given him the air, but Casper is a spoiled rich guy who doesn't take no for an answer. He sics a private detective. At the same time Anthony Cupo meets up with his sister Bianca Guerrero just over from Italy and they pick up two hitchhikers Vinnie Jones and Renfro. Big mistake this two did a bank robbery where one guy was killed and they've stashed the loot in a bus station locker. They hold Guerrero and want Cupo to go to Los Angeles and get their money.Cupo and Bourret hook up under some odd circumstances and now everyone would like to get that loot. The story is pretty lame with a lot of holes in it. But some real acting is done by Jones and Renfro who met each other in the joint. When Renfro says Jones helped him make it through prison you know exactly what Jones got from him in return. Jones is one dangerous dude.Still Jones and Renfro are not enough to make up for the rest of the film.
adonis98-743-186503 Brothers Martina and Luca travel from Las Vegas to Hollywood. Along the way they meet two convicts and Cherie a showgirl who flees his representative. The convicts kidnap Martina and force Luca to carry a 3 million bag. Hollywood Flies is one of those films that you know that it's going to suck but i didn't expect it to suck that much. The acting is average, the story doesn't exist and the film is full of stupid decisions made by stupid characters especially that girl Cherie played Caprice Bourret has the personality of a potato and don't get me start on Vinnie Jones awful performance i mean seriously who told him to become an actor? Overall if you like films like this or any of this actors you might enjoy the movie i don't know how? But you might but for everyone else? Just stay away!!
smiley-32 I rented this movie only because I wanted to see Caprice act.. Even though on her website.. She is a model/actress/TV Presenter/spokesmodel and the rest..I was watching this movie.. I must admit, it was all getting good and then it all went stale.. You got 2 bank robbers (VINNIE JONES and BRAD RENFO) kipnapping some girl (BIANCA GUACCERO) as they take some place and leave her for ransom. They tell this guy (ANTONIO CUPO) to deliver them their money or his Sister dies.. Along the way, comes another girl (CAPRICE) who happens to get involved as well.. But later on..? Well, you do the maths..I gotta hand it to you.. It's one of those sleazy type thrillers where you feel you're gonna get drawn to it. But then again.. you might bored with it. I got bored with it.. Somehow I didn't know where this film is taking the viewer.. It sounds there are parts of the film that I was really familiar with.. but it just keeps running out of steam at times..I don't know how this director Franco Segatori was trying to do here.. But it seems he put a good cast in a down low dirty shame of a script. However, it wasn't really up to my satisfaction in the end..Well, as for this Caprice gets a 7/10 for her acting.. The director gets 5/10 for his bit. The film gets a dismal 3/10Not my cup of tea..!
belgamino Italian Luca (Antonio Cupo) leaves Las Vegas for the Death Valley with his sister Martina (Bianca Guaccero). At the same time, Cherie (Caprice Bourret), striptease dancer and model, escapes from her rich boss, Zach (Casper Van Dien), to get back with her pimp boyfriend Mickey. On the highway, the two Italian give a passage to two hitchhikers, Sean and Emilio. They stop to rest in a motel (in which Cherie hides); but the next morning, Luca find out that Martina has been kidnapped by Jamie and Sean. Actually, the two hitchhikers are escaping from Las Vegas where they robbed a bank; they want Luca, alone, to catches up them to Los Angeles with the money in a rented car with a cell. Then, they will free Martina. But Cherie gets in the car when private Joe Gardner hired by Zach, find her. Fortunately, Luca will find both of them (Caprice, her lover, the private, Martina and the bank robbers) in LA motel where they are rooming. Now, everybody is after the money.Filmed in part in Canada, this second movie from Segatori is pursuing the exploration of the desert (very present in Terra bruciata a western genre film), here in opposition to the structured city with false buildings and hot girls of L.A. As he did it many years ago with his short film about Cappadocia, Segatori continues his visitation of ruined landscapes but instead of philosophical comments, action for lost causes plots take place.
