Invasion U.S.A. Audience Reviews

ThiefHott Too much of everything
Marketic It's no definitive masterpiece but it's damn close.
Moustroll Good movie but grossly overrated
Kaydan Christian A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.
rambofanlife-41678 My number 1 personal favorite Chuck Norris film ever!!! Bad-ass action film. Best of the best action film of the 80's I ever saw. This is one man army against terrorists. "It is time to die" My girlfriend bought me this film on Blu-ray I just got it today and I am so happy about it. Chuck Norris is Matt Hunter and Invasion U.S.A. is his best film of all time. I would put this film with First Blood, Rambo: First Blood Part II, Rambo, Hard Target, Die Hard, Die Hard With A Vengeance, The Last Boy Scout, Showdown In Little Tokyo, Mad Max: Fury Road, Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior and any other bad ass action movie. I would put this movie above Missing In Action and this movie just become my number 1 favorite Chuck Norris movie. Chuck Norris is a bad ass in this movie with his Uzis. Steven Seagal would not had a chance against Chuck Norris. Chuck Norris works alone his one man army. Jay Chattaway made a perfect music score for this movie the same he did for Missing in Action. Joseph Zito directed perfectly this actioner movie. Friday the 13th Part IV: The Final Chapter, The Prowler, Missing in Action and Invasion U.S.A. are his favorite films of mine. Richard Lynch was excellent and a bad ass villain bad guy I have ever seen. Chuck Norris also writes the screen play for this movie. This movie has ton's of action, explosions practical effects. Hunter blows up the bad guy with M72 LAW "It's time". I miss action movies like this where are action movies like this one today? I want action movies like this one back. As you know I am action junkie I love action movies to death and Invasion U.S.A. is a bad ass action movie ever! I have this movie on Blu-ray in 1080p HD. R.I.P. Richard Lynch I miss you. 10/10
dworldeater Invasion USA is a one man army movie starring karate man Chuck Norris. Chuck is a former government agent who is retired from the business and lives in the swamp and wrestles gators. Bad guy Mikhail Rostov is a communist that is leading an army across the USA via the Florida coast to create terrorist attacks in the United States to disrupt and destroy the American way of life. Rostov(Richard Lynch) is so scared of his arch nemesis Hunter(Chuck Norris) that he and his boys blow up his pad and assume that the Norris is dead and is free to spread terror across the USA. This is where Rostov is dead wrong and Hunter is out to get him and take down his army to save America. Invasion USA is about as over the top and ridiculous of an action movie as you can get. It is not grounded in reality whatsoever, there is absolutely no character development and the screenplay is a lot like Red Dawn(if it was written by a 12 year old). I can't really say that this is a good movie, but it is totally hilarious. There is all the cheesy patriotism and action that you could possibly hope for, along with memorable one liners, karate kicks, explosions, shoot em' ups. The Norris is invincible here with his twin uzis that he shoots the bad guys with maximum accuracy and he always is one step ahead of the bad guys and shows up to save the day in his big Bronco truck. The bad guys are completely ruthless and one dimensional, nothing but bad and only Chuck Norris can stop them. If you want action, director Joseph Zito (Missing In Action, Red Scorpion) has you covered. Invasion USA delivers the goods in the firepower department. See the ending conclusion where the hero and villain face off against each other with rocket launchers. Don't mess with the US or else you have to deal with Chuck Norris.
Rocketeer_Raccoon The moment someone mentions Chuck Norris, the first thing that usually pops into their head is a legendary bearded man who normally plays in action movies as an unstoppable one-man army and he can also round-house kick people in the face, oh and in this movie he has a pet armadillo which is really cute and a wise pet choice to have since they are hard like Chuck. Before I watched the movie I wasn't expecting much considering how averagely rated the film is but to my surprise I actually really enjoyed this movie. Although I did notice a couple of flaws within the movie, McGuire (Melissa Prophet) came out as a rather cocky character who just wants the scoop of the news and her acting was mediocre, and there's a scene where kids on a school bus sing "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" which is by far the worst children's song ever. One other thing although I thought was really funny rather than a bad thing is that the main villain, Mikhail Rostov (Richard Lynch) kills some people by putting his gun into their pants and trousers and blasting their privates to kingdom come and killing them that way, I just thought it was really hilarious. Also there's one part where Rostov has a rocket launcher that doesn't need reloading, but who cares, it's an 80's action movie. But these are just minor flaws, overall this movie is a lot of fun to watch. What makes this movie really stand out is the action and for a movie from the 1980's, it's all really good and it's all done with practical effects which is something you don't get a lot of these days such as real explosions, lots of gun fighting and a well performed car chase scene. Chuck Norris truly is a man of action and he delivers this film really well.Definitely recommend this movie, it's an awesome forgotten gem starring a great legendary action hero star.
Maziun In the mid 80's the action movies were getting more and more unrealistic and cheesy . It's seems that's what the audience wanted since movies like Schwarzenegger's "Commando" and Stallone's "Cobra" were very popular . "Invasion USA" with Chuck Norris is pretty much in style of those movies. A one man army must stop bad guys . The difference is that both "Cobra" and "Commando" are great "so bad , it's good " movies . They brilliant unintentional comedies and a great way to give your brain a relax after hard day . Norris movie is however just bad , only with some amusing moments .There isn't really much story here. What we have is a collection of action scenes loosely connected with some thin plot. The plot ? A bad guy wants to destroy the USA , because American citizens don't appreciate democracy or something like that . He's got a private army and he begins his acts of terror. He also seems to have a connection in the past to Norris. He's an evil communist from Russia and only Norris can stop him.As you can see the story is pure stupidity and only a studio like Cannon , famous for low budget action movies would decide to make a movie based on such gibberish idea. The screenplay is dumb, unrealistic and never bothers to give more detailed information to the audience. The attempts to make this movie some sort of political thriller are laughable .The action scenes aren't anything memorable . There is a big battle near the end of the movie, which considering the low budget does look decent . It kinda turns the movie into a war movie for a few minutes. Actually the most interesting action takes part in the end of the movie. Before that not really much is happening – the action scenes are short and the movie wastes time on developing the nonexistent plot. Joseph Zito is one really bad director. Sure, with a screenplay like that it's hard to do anything , but he wasn't even able to turn this movie into "guilty pleasure" category. It's just a bad and rather boring dumb movie. "Cobra" had cool style , while "Commando" a lot of irony. Both were also well paced. Here , just like in Zito's "Missing in action" there is boredom with too few too unimpressive action scenes. The only good thing about "Invasion USA" is there are moments so absurd and so cheesy that you can't help , but just laugh . The scene with the bus and bomb is comedy gold. Oh , and the bad guys aren't really aiming at all . Look at the way they holding their weapons and shooting at empty rooms ! Chuck Norris is his typical stone faced hero . Richard Lynch deserve some praise as the main villain , even if his character isn't too well written. Interesting thing – Whoopie Goldberg was one of the candidates to play the part of female journalist , but because of the low budget the producers couldn't hire her. This is also a third Chuck Norris movie for Billy Drago ("The Untouchables") . Too bad he appears for less than 5 minutes. It seems that even after all those years some people like this movie . Until 2007 this one was the second most rented movie after "Gone with the wind" . I guess some people had good fun with this bad movie .I give "Invasion USA" 3/10.
