Invincible Audience Reviews

RyothChatty ridiculous rating
CrawlerChunky In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.
Mathilde the Guild Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.
Nicole I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.
AmamiAmane The plot was too obvious, plain and the way all the symbolism was used was overt. This is what I hate the most about movies. I cannot see the point for making this movie. The characters were not developed and there was no chemistry between them. The only chemistry built was between the character portrayed by Billy Zane and the other characters. Terrible acting, apart from Billy Zane, and no I am not a fan of him. He was the only one who did the best job on this movie and put effort and talent in it. Oh man, and all the stunt wires clearly visible, as if the stunt coordinator was too lazy to notice. I give 3 because despite plenty of trash movies on TV (e.g. "The Hangover") "The Invicibles" is the movie worth watching and +1 is for Billy Zane's good job. Basically, I can say this movie is about New Age movement.
vagabondjonson OK, if you've got the chops to put "matrix-like action" on your movie poster then you either have a really incredible martial arts film or you have "Invincible". Now my college roommate and I got such a kick out of this movie, we did our best to put it into out monthly movie line-up just so we could make fun of it. Billy Zane is classic Billy Zane in this movie. He has the quality of making dialogue that is incredibly inane seem incredibly important. At no point during this movie was there anything that even remotely resembled "matrix-like action" and the actors who play the martial arts studs all look like Ralph Macchio could probably stuff them in a locker. Like most "martial arts" movies the plot is stodgy at best but this is hidden by the fact that the special effects were created by hamsters. If you are a fan of train wrecks and mine cave-ins, this is a movie for you.
speare I rented this on a whim, and a semi-soft spot for billy Zane, who never seems to take himself too seriously. If you intend to watch this movie, don't expect a lot... or anything much at all. I am a believer of the notion that you can learn something from even a bad film. In this film's case, you could write a book. Granted, it was a made for t.v. production and probably had an appropriately small budget, but come on!! I've seen more entertaining and amusing safety presentations by airline stewardesses. The characters were all painted with broad strokes, the message was trite and the action was canned. I work for a video chain and so watch and recommend a lot of movies. I break them down into four categories: Must sees, not bad but not great, only see this film if there is a nuclear holocaust and you some how manage to make it to an underground vault and are stuck with nothing else to do to pass the time but watch films, and lastly movies where even if the previously mentioned scenario happens, don't watch this movie.. spend your time counting cock roaches. This one falls into my "see it only in the event of doomsday" category.
blueslaad I have seen hundreds of martial arts movies, old and new, poor and sweet. I saw the front cover, billy zane + sword = NICE. Looked at the review on the back, something along the lines of those 'fighting that puts the Matrix to shame' sort of dumb. All be it (or is it one word) it was a while since i saw it, i can remember a few good bits but. 1. There was ONE i think decent martial artist in this film, the rest of them were slow, as was the actual fighting. And it was simple and bland 2. The seemed to be an eternity of training, fighting training? oh no sitting in rooms doing spiritual training trying to forget horrid things that happened in their past......zzzzzzzzz. WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO FIGHT.Anyway if like me u want a martial arts movie don't see this - 3/10 If you want a compelling lively story don't see this - 3/10 If u want to add this to 'films i have seen' then see it 3/10 for sheer underachievement and boredom
