Kidnapped Audience Reviews

Numerootno A story that's too fascinating to pass by...
Tayyab Torres Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.
Mathilde the Guild Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.
Zandra The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
jenreese I love movies that can shock me and/or surprise me. OK so the dubbing is bad. Isn't it always with foreign horror movies like these? This is a hell of a lot better than "Them". And I for one believe the violence and brutality in this movie is necessary to the overall plot yet it isn't over done or torture porn. Very pleased I watched this one. Thumbs up!
mikezuco I would have definitely gave this movie an 8 or 9 if it wasn't for that annoying daughter constantly whining and crying throughout the whole damn film. I thought I was going to have a panic attack myself listening to her. I had to mute the volume for a good portion of time. Did I mention she was annoying. Couldn't there have been some better dialogue created for her. The mom was another negative, she didn't help the film either. The dad actor didn't add to the movie nor that sissy boyfriend that showed up later in the story. It would have been better off being a silent flic. Its a good movie if yoy cannot find anything else to watch. The blood and violence was okay..better luck next time.
fvwyk1-804-458094 I watched this just after seeing another Home Invasion Movie, Mothers Day (2010). Kidnapped, 2010, disappointed me. Although this was a Spanish film, it is very similar to all those Home Invasion films that has been produced by Hollywood during the last few decades! Family moves into new home. Mom and daughter fights. Suddenly all hell breaks lose and thugs ambush the family of three. Daddy is sent with the one thug to clean out their bank accounts, at the ATM. Mom and daughter stays at home and get tortured and raped while trying to escape. A friend of the daughter comes to visit and gets beaten up. A neighbourhood watchman gets slaughtered. The girl kills the rapist. The other thug flees. Husband rolls the car, injuring the remaining thug. He rescues the family and calls the cops.. Then the remaining thug kills them all.Although the acting and cinematography is rather good (the mom was quite brilliant), this film is highly overrated. I watched it on recommendation from various lists. I usually prefer the foreign versions of thriller/horror themes, but this one seems to be worse than the typical Hollywood kidnap/hostage/home invasion drama. It uses all the clichés in the book! I also never really bothered about the dad or the daughter and their suffering. None of the characters, except for the mother, got my sympathy. For some reason they are not really likable. The one "softer" thug that helps the girl, had some potential of character development, but for some reason that was not exploited enough by the directors.I will really not bother if you have seen more than one of the Home Invasion type dramas in the last few years..
Ben Larson The description indicates that it will be a more violent version of Michael Haneke's Funny Games. It will certainly be more interesting with Manuela Vellés. One thing is certain, director Miguel Ángel Vivas does not waste time with games. The three invaders come blasting in and action starts immediately. This is definitely a violent movie. Slicing, dicing, shooting, rape, and extreme terror. It did not, however rise to the level of movies I have seen in the past. It didn't move smoothly. It seemed liked the scenes were not connected. The ending was expected.
