Redneck Zombies Audience Reviews

ThiefHott Too much of everything
Lawbolisted Powerful
Rijndri Load of rubbish!!
Taraparain Tells a fascinating and unsettling true story, and does so well, without pretending to have all the answers.
Leofwine_draca This is an appallingly dull amateur zombie movie in which the zombies only appear on screen for about twenty minutes. In between that time, we are treated to filler, which is basically trite dialogue between a group of talentless non-actors and actresses doing their best to try and make themselves look good/funny. It doesn't work. To say that the spoof humour is low brow is an understatement; it's dumb, repetitive and not at all amusing, unless you like watching people pretending to be stupid and doing stupid things. Me, it just makes me sick. It's no surprise that the purveyors of schlock, Troma, and also Full Moon Pictures are caught up in the distribution of this film - it must have been the cheapest movie to distribute, ever. The only reason I watched this was because I was expecting some gruesomeness, but the gore scenes are hardly worth looking forward to as they're completely inept. The acting is appalling, each and every character detestable, there are some really inappropriate computer effects of flashing colours, and the whole story is nonsensical in the worst possible way. Although it is intended as a "tribute" to NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD (at least according to the announcer) and there are occasional homages to the likes of THE Texas CHAIN SAW MASSACRE, this is an injustice to the world of cinema and should be avoided by anybody with any sense or taste.
dragonrebornk6 I wish I could give this one a zero. It didn't even get the whole so bad its good thing going. No, its not the actors that suck (which they do) or the filmography that suck (which it does), the main thing was how they pulled all these things together into the worst viewing experience of my life. The film had so much potential too, i mean come on, Redneck + Zombies should equal = really funny time. The parts that really made me wish for new eyes were the parts where for no reason, the film went all screwy, and the sound was dragged out until your ears bled. I finally was able to finish it, just for writing this review, and I've come to a conclusion. Troma films should be used for torture. I guarantee that any terrorist will talk if you promise just to turn it off. If you wish to save your brain from the worst headache imaginable, DO NOT WATCH THIS!!!
esparks-5 I love this movie. I have seen it a few times, and it actually gets better each time. If you don't like this movie, then you just don't get it. If you want to bitch about effects, camera work and actors because you only watch big budget flicks, don't watch this movie. If you have an open mind and can watch a movie for what it is and just get it, watch this movie. Pericles did a great job with this movie and I secretly have my fingers crossed that there will be a sequel. As another reviewer and lover of this gore and giggle filled flick said "this movie is SUPPOSED to be cheesy...it's supposed to be bad...it's supposed to be stupid and cheap and lame. That is its purpose. Deal with it, or don't watch." Not too mention the fact that my favorite character Tobacco Man made me quit smoking. He is my hero.Go grab a cold one and watch this movie damn it!
RayoftheDead This movie is a one of a kind laugh-fest that has the gore for the horror aficionados. The smallest of small things make me laugh. From the zombies burping after a heavy meal to the witty one liners that, although sometimes asinine, can still create a chuckle from the lax viewer. Ferd Mertz (Bucky Santini) is by far the winner here when it comes to the laughs. A great way to spend a good night and to introduce people to the bizarre and obscure. Totally cheesy but all in good fun! There are really no blatant cliché moments in this one that leave you scratching your head and wondering if your intelligence has been insulted. Redneck Zombies is not suppose to be taken seriously. Anyone who does is obviously watching this movie for all the wrong reasons. Highly recommended if you can find a place that carries it. If not there is always Amazon.
