Secrets Galore Behind the Gore Audience Reviews

Afouotos Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.
Odelecol Pretty good movie overall. First half was nothing special but it got better as it went along.
Livestonth I am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible
Ginger Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.
Michael_Elliott Secrets Galore Behind the Gore (2004) *** 1/2 (out of 4) Extremely entertaining featurette that can be found on the Friday THE 13TH box set. This documentary takes a look at the special effects in three of the movies. We start off with the original film as director Sean Cunningham talks about what they were going to try and do with the effects and then we hear from Tom Savini who goes through each effect one by one explaining how he did it. Savini is back with Friday THE 13TH: THE FINAL CHAPTER where he once again talks about his work and especially the finale where Jason finally gets what was coming to him. Next up is Friday THE 13TH PART VII with John Carl Buechler and Kane Hodder discussing the effects and stunts in the film. Fans of the series are certainly going to enjoy this, although I'm sure some could argue that the other five films in the Paramount series should have been discussed. What we do get here is pretty good and especially the stuff with Savini because we get some behind-the-scenes stuff plus an alternate and unused scene from part four. Also on hand is some footage of Savini working on the death scene of Jason, which is very interesting. The final portion deals with Savini's make-up school. The stuff with Hodder and Buechler is also fun as both of them talk about their favorite scenes and discuss how the special effects were pulled off. Hodder also talks about what he wanted to bring to the character.
