The Bell Witch Haunting Audience Reviews

Linkshoch Wonderful Movie
CheerupSilver Very Cool!!!
ChicRawIdol A brilliant film that helped define a genre
Brenda The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one
Michael Ledo A family moves to Tennessee and buys a home that was on the land of the Bell witch. They set up cameras and you know the rest. This film is far worse than the Paranormal series. Perhaps the bright spot was cutie Catherine Alter who played a teen who had her own blog "Dressing with Dana." The teen son also had a camera as did Policeman Bungalon who had a shirt cam, the house was wired, and even the bonehead electrician had a cam, "Get Electric with Denny" (GED). All this added up to a bunch of herky-jerky motion of stuff we have seen before and better and just about yesterday. The house had a pool, I'm surprised they didn't steal the pool crawler too.Teens who can't get enough of the Paranormal hand held stuff might like this, but I found it boring, except for the playful ghost (that uses strings) to remove covers off of sleeping teen girls in bra and panties.Parental Guide: F-bomb. No sex. Topless girls by pool.
kaseybakerdbg I will never understand why this genre has survived. The original found footage films were great but there's really no way of taking the genre to another level. This problem only allows for trash like this to exist subsequently wasting my time. The only reason this has a 3 star rating is because someone got triggered by all of the 1 stars and gave it a 7.
victoryismineblast Paranormal Activity clone also borrows from films like The Exorcist and The Amityville Horror. Although it is derivative, it is a lot of fun and a wild ride. There are several well done jump scares as well as a lot of creepy moments.I've noticed this one has a 3.4 rating. Don't let that fool you. It's the new trend on IMDb, to bash these low budget found footage horror movies. While not great by any means, it is an interesting addition to the found footage genre, and it delivers what it promises. It also has a lot of hot girls, nude, in panties, bikinis, etc. Just thought I'd add that. 7/10.
gex713 I'm sorry, this movie looked promising but it was ruined right from the beginning. The movie clearly tells you it takes place in January in Tennessee. Then, within the first minute of the movie it shows people having a pool party. I know that TN is in the south, I live there, but oh my god, really? This made the movie completely unbelievable to me. There is also the problem of when characters start dying off. It seems as if the characters in the movie only selectively care about a death when it moves the story forward. The one blaring example I can think of is the opening scene where the boy and girl are found mutilated and then flashes to six hours earlier (to the aforementioned pool party). Eventually the boy and girl leave the party, but are never mentioned again. If you are up for a movie to make fun of with your friends, by all means, watch it, but I don't think anyone could take this seriously.
