The Rover Audience Reviews

Solemplex To me, this movie is perfection.
Lovesusti The Worst Film Ever
Baseshment I like movies that are aware of what they are selling... without [any] greater aspirations than to make people laugh and that's it.
Voxitype Good films always raise compelling questions, whether the format is fiction or documentary fact.
rage-80823 What a piece of crap. Don't bother to watch. It has no redeeming quality.
clintstevens I am on the fence on this one. First off, a stellar acting job by the two main actors. Guy Pearce is always a treat to watch in any role he plays, but the real surprise is Robert Pattinson, who does an outstanding job in his role (who knew?).The story itself is a let down, with not much happening (save for a few grisly murders). The dialog is sparse, which was probably intentional, and the actors have to work at keeping the viewer's interest. It's kind of like a big piece of cake with fancy icing that turns out to be fairly tasteless with lots of empty calories. Here's a hint for you, the title has less to do with the main character that it does with what's in his car's trunk. So I give the movie 5 stars; 2 for the storyline and 9 for the acting. It is worth your time, just to enjoy Guy and Robert's fine acting job.
Miguel Neto The Rover is a film that I stopped watching often, always left programmed on TV when spent more time or I give up or simply lose the will to watch, oh when I finally decide to attend, I fall asleep, there finally I I watched, I saw it was going to go on TV and lacked only 10 minutes to start, there placed, and when realized, I was really interested without watching the film, and know the end, and the end was a bit disappointing, it in my opinion, the more the film is very good, the picture shows an apocalyptic Australia, very reminiscent of the film Mad Max (George Miller), the action scenes are good, the film is very violent, the direction is David Michôd that I do not know, I liked his work, even the film has a rhythm problem, and see the film or long is, I found some unnecessary dialogues, the character of Robert Pattinson is very annoying, even though I liked the actor's acting, I found her very talkative character, the cast is good, Guy Pearce this excellent, Robert Pattinson, this very well, I hope she does forget that Edward Cullen, Scoot McNairy, etc., all are well, the Rover is a very good movie , surprises me a lot, but has the slow pace, and some very unnecessary dialogues, even Robert Pattinson in a good performance, your character is very annoying. Note 8.1
thekarmicnomad The world is reeling from an economic mealy down. Society hangs on precariously in a state of lawlessness. Following a botched bank robbery a man's car is stollen. This is his story of getting his car back. The main character is hardened, non communicative and solely dedicated to the task of getting his car back. What follows is a violent road movie with one of the most unlikable, grumpiest heroes of all time. Despite being a total douche I did start to warm to the character. This is a clear indication of how well made the movie is. Guy Pierce is great, which is just as well as he is tasked with shouldering most of the load. The world is grubby, squalid and dangerous. Yet it has an element of realism about it. The police desperately try to keep order in a world where most people have all but given up.An enjoyable watch with a beautifully bitter ending.
