Thunderground Audience Reviews

Steineded How sad is this?
Nessieldwi Very interesting film. Was caught on the premise when seeing the trailer but unsure as to what the outcome would be for the showing. As it turns out, it was a very good film.
CrawlerChunky In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.
Billy Ollie Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
merklekranz "Thunderground" is a fast moving "Hard Times" clone. The bare knuckles characters are not unlike Charles Bronson as the fighter and James Coburn as the manager in the depression era film "Hard Times". "Thunderground" substitutes hobos riding rail cars, with Paul Coufos as the fighter and Margaret Langrick as his teenage partner. Michael Ironside is supposed to be in this movie, but I'll be damned if I could tell you where? I will tell you that M. Emmet Walsh and Jesse Ventura are in it, but their parts are small. Overall, "Thunderground" is surprisingly enjoyable, oozing with Southern atmosphere, totally acceptable character development and acting, making it the perfect film for a lazy night at a Southern drive-in. - MERK
Comeuppance Reviews "Thunderground" is a very silly film. It's about a would-be boxer and a kid who want to fight the ultimate bad guy: "The Man" played by Jesse Ventura. The acting is pretty bad except Ventura who knows he's in a goofy film, and he overacts with glee. I'm happy when movies like this see the light of day and not disappear off the face of the earth. "Thunderground" is a mixture of "Rocky", "Over The Top", and "Bloodsport". If you want to see hobos beat each other up and Jesse Ventura fighting in a remote forest, this is the movie for you.For more insanity, please visit: comeuppancereviews.com
