Truth or Dare Audience Reviews

Steineded How sad is this?
ChanFamous I wanted to like it more than I actually did... But much of the humor totally escaped me and I walked out only mildly impressed.
Aiden Melton The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.
Rosie Searle It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
Michael Ledo There is a costume party going on with a bunch of cool kids. Felix (Tom Kane) has a crush on Gemma (Florence Hall) and wants to ask her out. He is a shy dweeb and doesn't have a costume ...unless dweeb is a costume. Luke (Alexander Vlahos) is the party specialist who fixes Felix up with a white line of instant courage. Gemma turns him down as she is dating Chris (Jack Gordon). An altercation happens while playing "Truth or Dare" where Chris slugs Felix.Later, the gang which includes the over sexed Eleanor (Jennie Jacques) and her boyfriend Paul (Liam Boyle), one of those rare guys who can fall asleep right after doing a line of coke, head out to the country to celebrate Felix's birthday. They are greeted by Justin (David Oakes), Felix's brother and ex-soldier, who has his own ideas on how to play "Truth or Dare."I enjoyed what the Brits did to this common theme, geek kid humiliated/revenge slasher film. Good sound track. Good action. Jennie Jacques reminded me of Fairuza Balk during her slutty roles. Good abduction/torture style movie.Parental guide: F-bomb, sex, girls kissing, drugs/alcohol use
Jeffrey Burton 5.6 stars? Really? I don't see it. The writing is simply bad. The young actors were all incredibly good in this rather ridiculous torture porn/revenge genre flick. The list of idiotic movie decisions is just too long. The acting actually made the glaringly bad calls seem even less plausible. I did find a new love however, Florence Hall is ethereal. She is the highpoint of the film and I lost all interest when she left the story. There is a forced and unnatural trend in all movies today but especially horror to shock even at the expense of the story that I find very irritating. It takes me right out of the movie and all I get is a mental picture of two turbo nerds high fiving each other over the oh, so, big 'shocker' they just delivered and taking a break to pound Red Bulls and play PS4. This contrived end to one of the characters was then called out to the degree of jagoffness by the bad guy taking the body that was in a totally different location and driving it back to where the others were. Why? Too many F-ing Red Bulls, that's why. What makes this a worse failure is it had all the makings of a great suspense film. It had me engaged until the stupid factor got too great and then it was just playing in the background while I went back to work. I will look for Florence Hall and the rest of the cast in upcoming movies, though, so that's a good thing.
artpf This is a British movie about a group of teens who while at a party, play a game of 'Truth or Dare.' But the game gets out of hand when one of the party goers (Felix) is picked on by the other teens. A few months later they are all invited to a party that Felix is throwing at his parents mansion. But when they get there they are told the party is in a cabin further up the road. They arrive to find that Felix's brother is there instead, but where is Felix, and what does his brother have in store? And you wind up asking, "Who cares?" Is't really very boring stuff. Slow moving and silly.
Sarsman Spoiler alert. Good film. All the characters are deeply unlikeable, and actually you are not that fussed about them dying. You're actually on the side of the psycho for a while. One thing that has been mentioned is why someone looks up the police emergency on the net. I think it's actually supposed to be that there is no phone line only internet so she is trying to alert police that way. The part that unsettles and what I object to, is why does the rapist not get her just desserts? She basically rapes two blokes or rather forces one to rape the other.... Would have been happier if it was long suffering boyfriend only that survived. The storyline is quite good, would have benefited from better more engaging actors. Good to pass the time but don't base your night around it.
