Yaariyan Audience Reviews

Vashirdfel Simply A Masterpiece
VeteranLight I don't have all the words right now but this film is a work of art.
Stevecorp Don't listen to the negative reviews
Dana An old-fashioned movie made with new-fashioned finesse.
Ismail 366 Its a good start for Divya Khosla Kumar as a director. She has a good sense of direction and a kind of precision which makes her go a long way. Direction is the USP of the movie. Music of the movie is out of this world as expected by "T-series." Blue hai pani pani is a party song in voice of Yo Yo Honey Singh that turns you to the party mood, "Baarish" song essence and very much needed song which fits into the situation to show the outburst of emotions. First half of the movie is full of fun, partying, feet tapping songs, showcasing fun side of the actors. Second half of the movie is much intense and griping that explains the meaning of the word Yaariyan. In this portion of the movie they understands the values of life and came across a challenge where they have to win the competition and get back there college land from an Australian businessman who wants to build a casino."Yaariyan"
namashi_1 Divya Khosla Kumar's 'Yaariyan' boasts stunning visuals, awesome songs & even decent performances, but what it lacks is - A Solid Script. Though it has its share of inspiring moments, the final outcome, is strictly okay!'Yaariyan' Synopsis: A college student must win an inter college competition to save his college from being demolished by property builders.'Yaariyan' has a fairly entertaining first-hour, but slips considerably post-interval. The drama slackens, the sub-plots are under-developed & even the culmination, is plain ordinary. Also, there are too many songs in this hour. Though melodious, the songs only add to the film's length, which anyhow is over 135-minutes.Sanjeev Dutta's Screenplay has its share of highs, but the lows are undeniable either. A shorter, crispier second-hour was needed. Divya Khosla Kumar's Direction is well-done. Cinematography by Sameer Arya is top-class. The visuals are excellent! Editing lacks sharpness. Music by Various Artists, is awesome. Performance-Wise: Himansh Kohli makes a confident debut. He's at ease, especially in the romantic portions. Rakul Preet Singh passes muster. Nicole Faria looks sexy & delivers decently. Evelyn Sharma shines in her part. Veterans Gulshan Grover, Deepti Naval & Smita Jaykar, are adequate. On the whole, 'Yaariyan' isn't bad, but it could've been much better nevertheless.
crrs-tech Yaariyan is an excellent movie. This movie was not for those older people who crossed teen.So please think twice before writing anything. Every movie has it's Audience. This movie is best for teens. So it did good business.I have seen this movie twice and liked it. All from my college also gone to see this ans still they are dancing with Sunny Sunny song. Songs and Locations are the USP of the movie. As a first time director Divya Khosla did a very good job. No doubt she shown her talent in this movie. Now a days no one in India is making any good teen movie like in Hollywood. I can say go and watch it if you are a youngster.
A_Voice I rarely rate a film 1. Even the worse of worse I rate 2 or 3. There is just handful of the 2300 ratings I have given. I only consider a 1 rating when a film is absolutely horrible and intolerable, which this is.A few youngsters try to save their college's land to be auctioned to some Australian Billionaire. Meanwhile they discover love.It was totally a let down of a film for Gulshan Kumar Productions. A supposed tribute to the college life ends up being a haphazard frustrating nonsensical intolerable mess, with pathetic acting and a lot of bikini clad girls of-course.The film is so absurd, it specially introduce a completely unnecessary character to kill him off, that to out of nowhere. The scenes seem so abrupt and forced at certain points that it literally drives you mad. And the stunt artists probably weren't looking when Himansh was just sticking upside down on a wall with only his stomach to support him. (And they thought they'd pull a Mein Hoon Naa). I wonder why talented actors like Gulshan Grover sign for these kind of films. At the end credits, Divya is seen with her cuter son on the sets, with him saying "pack up" and "action". I have a strong feeling that it was he all along who directed and wrote the film, and it was Divya's way of letting us know. *jk*.The only good thing of the film is its songs, especially "Baarish" (though I hated the Honey Singh ones). I wonder when Bollywood will understand that good songs and good hilly locations don't make a good reasonable film.Direction: Pathetic.Script/Screenplay: Even RGV ki Aag and Himmatwala were better written.Acting: Rakul is cute, but her acting isn't convincing, rest are pathetic.Music: The score is average. Songs are good.Overall a film to be avoided. 0/10, since the option doesn't exist, I'll have to settle with a generous 1.
