Info

Mad Jack the Pirate is a short lived 1990s cartoon. The show was created by Bill Kopp and was directed by Jeff DeGrandis. On American television, the show was broadcast on Fox Kids. The concept is of the adventures of the rather unsuccessful and cowardly Pirate Jack who despite his failures never doubts his own excellence and his dim-witted anthropomorphic rat sidekick Snuk as they sail the seas on their ship the Sea Chicken. On July 23, 2001, Mad Jack and other properties of Saban Entertainment were sold to The Walt Disney Company.

Mad Jack the Pirate Audience Reviews

Rijndri Load of rubbish!!
MamaGravity good back-story, and good acting
BelSports This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.
Micah Lloyd Excellent characters with emotional depth. My wife, daughter and granddaughter all enjoyed it...and me, too! Very good movie! You won't be disappointed.
Pepper Anne Damn. I was only able to see sporadic episodes of this Fox Saturday morning cartoon about the silly Mad Jack the Pirate and his hand full of sidekicks. The humor reminds me of Eek! The Cat (for which Bill Kopp also lends his voice), 'Pepper Anne,' and Spielberg's 'Toonsylvania.' Quick witted and fun for all ages, even someone like me, too old to be watching Saturday morning cartoons. Fox should've done more to try and help it out, because it was a well written, hilarious adventure cartoon and was, at the time, a lot better than most of the Saturday morning cartoon fare (what little still exists).Short-lived and hard-to-find. Check it out if you can.
starside_sprinkles this was the best cartoon ever!!! i missed it for so long, but finally found it...someone had recorded...but i still wish it were on TV or on DVD...some extra oohs and aahs might be so nice, but I LOVE MAD JACK!!! i am a bit disappointed at the lack of information on character voices on IMDb, isn't there anyone who can help? so many voices seem to be familiar, but i am missing the closing credits on EVERY episode! dang blasted! i think this cartoon was geared to the wrong audience and that most of the humour went over children's heads...maybe cartoon networks adult swim could breath some new life into this funny show!!! this is a crap review, but who cares, i just had to say that I LOVE AND WILL ALWAYS LOVE MAD JACK THE PIRATE!!!!! *swoon* *lol*by the by, beware of the biclops!
BSandor Do you think pirates are strong and macho? They sure are, but not Mad Jack. He and his pal Snuck are completely the opposite. And they have bad luck in life. Nothing goes the way it should to be ok for them. And the situations! Not just the this-happens-to-the-average-pirate, but also extraordinary, "modern-day" situations. Imagine Jack at the office as he tries to get his pirate-license back doing actions like parking the ship, firing the gun, an so on. To make matters worse, the "boss" at the office is his nearest enemy...I enjoyed all the episodes I have seen and had a very good time. This is entertaining, so get ready for tears - laughing instead of crying!
