Info

Nagisa Misumi and Honoka Yukishiro couldn't be more different. Nagisa is sporty and Honoka bookish, and while they attend the same school, they have very little in common - until one day, a shower of shooting stars brings two very unlikely visitors into their lives: Mepple and Mipple, refugees from the Garden of Light, which has been conquered by Darkness. Endowed with new and startling powers, Nagisa and Honoka become Cure Black and Cure White, magical defenders of the light - together, they are Pretty Cure.

Pretty Cure Audience Reviews

Scanialara You won't be disappointed!
Baseshment I like movies that are aware of what they are selling... without [any] greater aspirations than to make people laugh and that's it.
StyleSk8r At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.
Allison Davies The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
suchenwi I haven't seen the whole series, just episodes 17-20 from a UFA DVD, "German" title "Pretty Cure", from the bargain bin (2€ being a good deal, I think). But watching all four of them in a row gives quite some impression already, especially the ritual executed once per episode ("Cure White!"- "Cure Black!"- "White thunder!"- "Black thunder!"- "Marble beam!") Two schoolgirl with the typical maximal eyes and minimal noses go through the troubles of normal life, as well as saving the earth from eery foes. A nice addition are Mipple and Mepple, kind of live Tamagotchis living each in one cell-phone, and having their tempers sometimes.Of the episodes, I liked 17 (pupils help harvesting on a farm) best. Maybe I'll get a better feeling for the others on repeat viewing. In any case, with Japanese soundtrack this is a decent addition to an anime fan's collection.. :)
