sporeviews I might be a little bit biased, since I saw this movie when I was 5, but even my nostalgia couldn't save Bratz Babyz the movie. I saw the movie last night, and while it isn't the worst movie I've seen, even by Bratz standards, Bratz Babyz the movie definitely has a lot of problems. I'll list a couple of positives, first though.1. The animation. While the animation definitely isn't fluid, it does at least ATTEMPT to pull off a few tricks at times. I can't say it's spectacular, but I did wish the entire Bratz franchise used 2D animation, instead of 3D models. This 2D animation is pleasant to look at, and smooth and crisp.2.The voice work. The voice actors probably won't win any awards any time soon, but I do appreciate that at least the children SOUND their age, instead of deep, adult voices. It's almost like the voice actors were actually ACTING.3.The simple story. While the premise itself has moments where it has to make the characters stupid just to make the plot happen, it plays itself out as a nice, little cute story about rescuing a puppy, instead of trying to be dark, edgy and needlessly over complicated.Now for the negatives: 1. The animation. I know I praised the animation on the positives, but I can't deny that the animation has way too many errors, it can skip frames occasionally and can look a bit jittery.2. The story. While I do like that the story is indeed simple, it's simple to the point of being extremely paper-thin; Like at the start, Nora could have just looked in her bag to see her dog, Snappy was in there. She would have put Snappy in her cage, and boom! Everything solved. And when the girls lost Snappy to the bully Dwayne, they could have just told the mall officer that Snappy was stolen, the officer could force Dwayne into giving the puppy back, and boom. Conflict resolved. 3. The messages. I admire the message the movie was TRYING to say, that is: 'You should never give in to a bully. They will just come back wanting more'. I think that's a suitable message for 5 year old girls. However young girls, can still be influenced by what they see, whether it's cartoon OR reality. Throughout the movie, we see numerous scenes of makeup, high heels and obsession over fashion. I do feel concerned, as that can paint a bad image on what girls like, such as fashion, appearances and dating; a controversial message in the ENTIRE Bratz franchise, not just this movie.So while I did see this movie 5 times when I was 4, it doesn't hold up in the slightest. The characters are paper-thin, the animation is unappealing, and the conflict is too simple, boring and rushed.

kill-the-boxtrolls OK, let's show proof that I AM a guy and I have a twelve year old companion who'd dragged me to see this film a while ago. I wasn't expecting ANYTHING from Bratz since first of all, I'm not a big fan of the T.V. series that used to come on on the FOX channel and second of all, it was extravagantly girlie. But all in all, this film was beyond average. The theme song was kind of off for the Bratz Babyz and their characters were out-of-character compared to the dolls in the store, and why put in annoying twins puppy such as Nita & Nora and a bad-ass dog named Snappy? Let me explain, Nita is the absolute disrespectful and hot-headed child who's willing to get her way and is always cruel to her twin sister, Nora.Nora is a timid kid twin of Nora who's always been bickered by her.Snappy is an energetic puppy in which Nora coincidentally takes to the mall and gets herself into trouble after the puppy escapes into the mall.See? These characters are just downright annoying, I mean, and what's up with their clothes? They're so small, skimpy and revealing; even a skirt wouldn't have the size of that, not even a Hawaii mini skirt. The plot follows babies "titled the Bratz" who roam the mall, looking for a puppy who's circumventing among the mall. Soon thereafter, he is kidnapped by a mall bully named "Duane" who's demanding fifty dolls to give the puppy for sale.I'm sorry to say that this film is WAAY too short for me. Its flow is too rushed, its plot is rushing also. The songs like "Ready or Not" are too old for its style that not even a twelve-year-old would understand. And I forgot to mention the animation/visuals? They're horrible, I mean, there are WAY too many character errors and the scenery looks like something a two-year-old made. These babies are just too arrogant for their own good and are always putting too much pride in themselves.I'm not forcing anyone to avoid the movie, but maybe kids who'd prefer more kid-friendly films/shows like Strawberry Shortcake shouldn't watch this.

dalycew Granted, this isn't the best kids movie I've ever seen, but it is a KIDS movie!! Who cares about the quality of the animation, as long as kids like it, that's what matters. My 6 year old LOVES this movie, every time we got to the video store that's the movie she picks. She sings along to all the songs, and is asking for the movie for Christmas. I am not concerned at all that she will be badly influenced by this movie. I am secure enough in my roll as a mother to believe that my girls will grow up knowing the difference between cartoon and reality. I think the plot of this movie is perfect for kids. No, an adult is not going to get anything out of it, but kids, especially little girls, will love the idea of other little girls doing what they can to save a cute puppy. Unbelievable? Absolutely. But I never did believe Wyle E Coyote could fall off a mountain 400 times and still get up to chase the roadrunner, yet I still found it enjoyable to watch. I still think that cartoons are made to be enjoyed, not dissected like an Acadedmy Award winner.

Candle-Burn This movie is about young babies, between 8 months to 3 years, that walk around in skimpy, revealing clothes trying to save puppies. The entire movie features sexually suggestive remarks and actions, absolutely inappropriate for any young child, even a 10 year old.This movie is like a pedophile's dream come true. The attitudes and idea's of the Bratz Babies are far too advanced for any young girl to understand, and I would never like to see a child acting like these Babies. "Flaunt what you Got?" Isn't that the Stripper Anthem? Not something a tween needs to do. This movie is awful.
