It Had to Be You Audience Reviews

LouHomey From my favorite movies..
Acensbart Excellent but underrated film
Glimmerubro It is not deep, but it is fun to watch. It does have a bit more of an edge to it than other similar films.
Francene Odetta It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.
nnom35 ...kinda like Cristin Milioti herself. I swear, this girl can do anything...this is probably the least I've liked her in a movie, and it was still pretty good. I gave the 8 to offset the haters. She's the lead and fairly unlikeable...plays a weak and weak willed person. After a while, you want to tell her what to do with her life because it doesn't seem like she'll ever get there. I paid 4 bucks to rent it, and I consider it money well spent. Enough said?
Larry Silverstein Looks like so far among other reviewers I'm in the distinct minority here, as I felt this rom-com just didn't work for me on any level, and I felt it was just one mess of a movie. The dialogue came across to me as quite stilted and awkward and the characters just didn't ring true.Cristin Milioti, whose appearance and demeanor reminded me of Sarah Silverman, portrays Sonia, who's in a long term relationship with Chris, played by Dan Soder. However, when Chris makes another attempt at proposing, Sonia is hesitant to accept, and thus they'll be a severe strain put upon their future together.First time director and writer Sasha Gordon appears to also make a less than subtle attempt to switch gender roles here. The groom will be crying during the wedding ceremony, two men will be dancing at the reception, they'll be a male midwife, and there's a scene in Rome where Sonia allows a man she just met to shave her nether regions, which I thought was beyond the pale.To note there were no subtitles on my DVD copy. All in all, I see this film worked for others, but it definitely was not my cup of tea.
devi_jets Just watched this movie. To be honest i wasn't expecting that much. Offcourse when i saw the poster for this movie i thought.. maybe a movie about a couple who are struggling with their relationship and stuff. But this movie totally surprised me. It was cute, romantic and edgy. Not the typical standard romantic cheesy one! Glad to see a woman in a film who isn't the typical stereotype kinda woman. Sonia is messy, doesn't know if she is ready for marriage and doesn't dress up like a lady lady. She is just herself, which i love. Also the friend group in this movie is healthy, real and they are sweet. Also the music in this film was very nice. I say a must-see
vandewatercapital Wonderfully current and edgy romantic comedy starring the wonderful Cristin Milioti, Kyle Mooney and Hutchi Hancock.Sonia is a neurotic jingle writer who's always dreamt of a big and exciting life.
