Paul Magne Haakonsen For a revenge movie then this 2009 movie was nowhere near as interesting, thrilling or disturbing as other movies of the same genre, for example "I Spit on Your Grave".The idea of the movie, the storyline if you will, is very simple and straight forward, as they usually tend to be for these particular types of movies. The storyline, simply put, is about two Catholic school girls find themselves at the mercy of three maniacs when they knock on their door during their trip to sell bibles.It is no secret that we don't watch these movies for their elaborate storyline. Hardly so. No, we watch these movies for the violence and to see what kind of wicked ways the movie makers come up with for torturing people on the screen and what nasty ways people are killed by those wronged in the movie. Yes, the revenge genre is a particularly nasty genre by comparison to most other genres.And you find yourself watching these movies because you enjoy the genre, most likely not because you stumble upon them by sheer random luck.What ultimately killed off this movie for me, pardon the pun, was the slow pace that it trotted on at, and the lack of convincing acting performances by the majority of the cast (which wasn't many, mind you, as there were few people in the movie). Had there been more talented people in the movie, it would have been all the more enjoyable.Don't get me all wrong here, because there were also nice aspects to the movie, they were just overshadowed by the less than mediocre stuff. And that was a shame, because it dragged the movie down.There are far better movies available in this particular genre. And I can honestly say that now as I have seen the movie, I am not going to revisit it ever again.

Poptart_Psycho Again another poorly rated movie.. but I think some people are missing the plot literally. This is not supposed to be a big horror production or even something unique I think Run Bitch Run is a modern day movie taking it back to the exploitation age of the 70s.The main is revolved around 2 catholic schoolgirls trying so sell religious books to make money for charity. Rebecca is more flirtatious and loud whilst Catherine is a virginal good girl.Yes the first 5 minutes of the movie would give any softcore porno a run for the money but it sets the scene.So the 2 girls are knocking around houses when they encounter the 'whore house'. Before knocking they witness a pimp kill a prostitute and immediately are dragged inside. Of course there are scenes of sexual humiliation throughout like all other rape and revenge films.When the presume Catherine dead they vile rednecks go back to normal life but obviously she isn't and is out for vile revenge of her captures.if you want gore, a big production horrors and far fetched stories this isn't for you, but if you want an insight of 70s grindhouse movies this is the one

lastliberal I knew I had seen Cheryl Lyone before. She was dancing in two episodes of "True Blood." She was perfectly cast to play a virginal Catholic schoolgirl who is raped and left for dead.Catherine (Lyone) and her schoolmate Rebecca (Christina DeRosa) are selling bibles door to door when they stumble upon a murder. While Lobo (Peter Tahoe) and Clint (Johnny Winscher) are disposing of the body, Marla (Ivet Corvea) manages to kill Rebecca playing Russian Roulette. They then take the body to bury and play a game with Catherine which results in her rape.In typical Grindhouse revenge fashion, she comes back to get her due.The film features a whole lot of full frontal and sex. It also has a nunsploitation angle as Clint spends his time watching nunsploitation porn.Directed by first time director Joseph Guzman, it just makes you look forward to his next feature, which also features Corvea, Nude Nuns with Big Guns.

Scarecrow-88 Psychotic white trash pimp, Loco Lobo(Peter Tahoe), his stuttering partner, Clint(Johnny Winscher), and scuzzy whore, Marla(Ivet Corvea) decide to toy around with two traveling Catholic school girls selling church merchandise, having the misfortune of seeing the murder of a prostitute stashing coke in her panties. While Rebecca(Christina DeRosa) is shot in the face after a gun goes off during a game of chicken, Marla instigates out of entertainment, Catherine(Cheryl Lyone) is to be sent out into a nearby woods where she must evade capture or else be raped or much worse. Once Lobo catches her and does the dirty deed, robbing her of her virginity despite a valiant fight to deny him such pleasures, Catherine will wreak havoc on them all, everyone of those low life bastards.The influences of I SPIT ON HER GRAVE & LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT are easily recognizable in this sleazy, misogynistic rape revenger. After awakening from a bump on the noggin, Catherine walks a bit through the forest naked before being placed in a hospital. Left emotionally traumatized, Catherine dons a nurse's uniform and executes anyone who crosses her, particularly setting her sights on the scum who caused her such irreparable damage. Packing a shotgun, Catherine is hellbent and dedicated to make them pay. Catherine also uses a machete, scalpel(on a smarmy pimp outside the hospital after her exit), and knife, blazing a trail of bloodshed in her green station wagon, Mother Mary's small statuette on the dashboard, a cold look of determination. Credit to Lyone for going the extra mile in getting her clothes ripped away by Clint, harassed by Marla, and abused by Lobo as he has his way with her(the rape is shot at an angle to reveal nothing). Most of the violence occurs off screen, the film edited carefully due to budget constraints. Tahoe is particularly memorable(he favored Josh Lucas to me for some reason)as the leader of this trio of sadistic misfits. Clint's stuttering gets rather tiresome(as does his sparring with a bartender who is sick of Clint's not paying for his drinks)and Marla's salacious antics become annoying. I found some of the movie rather tedious and wanted more of Lyone in her nurse's uniform. I was also disappointed we get so little of DeRosa as Lyone's traveling companion, kind of a bit precocious and sexy. The sexual assaults aren't as troublesome as I expected them to be(camera placement is key). Probably has one of the most boring lesbian make-out sessions I have seen in recent memory. Corvea really relishes her role as a slutty psycho bitch. Plenty of nudity and profanity, and RUN!BITCH RUN! wallows in unpleasantness which I imagine will be a plus for the exploitation fanbase. Marla has Rebecca suck her toes and forces her into giving the hooker oral sex, which might be one of the more tasteless sequences. Highlight I think has a victim getting a machete stabbed in his ass multiple times..why is this gratifying, the one getting it where it hurts is a root of all that transpires to poor Catherine. While the gore is a bit underwhelming, I did like the knife through the hand gag. Lots of humor aimed toward Christianity. Probably more related to I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE than anything else due to not finishing off the victim when she was at her most vulnerable, allowing her to seek vengeance. Scenes from a nunsploitation flick(Nuns with Big Guns)can be seen in this movie as Clint watches it to get off.
