wannabe subversive movie that forgot the subversion. It wants to be a commentary on corporate cynicism but is an example of it.
Hollywood .... if it's not a reboot or a sequel you won't make it ... why ? You save money on established brand names and save on marketing $$$ ....
Younger audiences will still find plenty to enjoy about Space Jam: A New Legacy, but LeBron James' trip to Tune World feels like it learned all the wrong lessons from the original film.
Lebron is a terrible actor. Not that Jordan was good but at least he was charismatic enough to cover it in the original, not the case for LBJ. Bring in a bad storyline and CGI instead of animation and it feels soulless. If they had done old school animation and tried for more nostalgia it might have worked a bit better. This is a vanity project intended to make money, not to entertain. Skip this movie.
I'm not sure I like the changes they've made to this sequel.
Terrible acting, screenplay and direction.
Overrated and overhyped
Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.
While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.
