Tees Maar Khan Audience Reviews

Protraph Lack of good storyline.
Stevecorp Don't listen to the negative reviews
Forumrxes Yo, there's no way for me to review this film without saying, take your *insert ethnicity + "ass" here* to see this film, like now. You have to see it in order to know what you're really messing with.
ChanFamous I wanted to like it more than I actually did... But much of the humor totally escaped me and I walked out only mildly impressed.

kvingle There is a huge list of things which are wrong at so many levels with this film.To begin with this obvious and ridiculous plot it seems director has taken viewers for granted. In what seems to be make a laugh a riot movie it has become so-bad-that-its-good kind of film. This movie is benchmark of what not to do with top rated star cast and money producer has vested in movie. The only thing that goes in favor of this movie is iconic "Sheela Ki jawani" item song that would be remembered for ages for Katina Kaif. Its waste of talent that Akshay kumar has. It seems he has stopped reading scripts and rather started accepting movies for money only.
Sherazade But because following the brilliance and success of films like 'Main Hoon Na' and 'Om Shanti Om' people were expecting more from choreographer turned film director Farah Khan. Having just seen it, I have to say that it's a 'leave your brain' at home type film. Even the monster hit item song it churned out ('Sheila Ki Jawani' sung by Sunidhi Chauhan and picturised on Katrina Kaif) was very mediocre. The film's plot in a nutshell: international criminal Tees Maar Khan(played by Akshaye Kumar) eludes the police with trickery and convinces his dim-witter girlfriend(Katrina Kaif), a down of his luck actor(Akshaye Khanna) and an entire small village to help him rob a bank and a train filled with prized possessions under the pretense of shooting an epic movie. There is nothing here that we haven't seen before which is why Khan needed to take it to the next level which she did not. I have heard that the film is a bad remake of some other films like 'Catch me if you can' and 'After the fox' but I did not see any elements of those films here. TMK was just a lazy film churned out by a brilliant person who just wasn't on her A-game this time around. That's all.If you must embark on this journey, get ready for spoofs of every Indian movie ever made with the Oscars in mind (i.e. Lagaaan, Mangal Pandey & Slumdog Millionaire etc.), jabs at actors like Aamir Khan and Shahrukh Khan, director M. Night Shymalan and more. It is narrated by Sanjay Dutt with special appearances by Chunkey Pandey, Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor and Twinkle Khanna as themselves. The Akshayes (Kumar and Khanna) did the best with the horrible scripts they were given. As for Katrina Kaif who might as well be the longest running joke in Bollywood history...a bad actress playing one is just that.
vnblues I'm surprised at some of the harsh reviews here. I am not a Bollywood fan, I probably watch one Bollywood movie every 2 years.. and I just loved this one because it made me laugh. It makes fun of some of the embarrassing truths about Bollywood. Take Slumdog Millionaire and the obsession about getting an Oscar. By making a spoof out of it, the movie finally made me believe there are at least some sane people in Bollywood who have some self-respect. Why should we care about the Oscars when we have awards of our own? The Oscar isn't even that great an award. You need to watch this movie with family or a bunch of friends who have some exposure to Bollywood movies. Everything is exaggerated and that's what makes it fun. Looks like both the Akshays really enjoyed their role. Loved them both here. The dialogue is purposely done in a filmi style. They are making fun of the industry. Come on people! Have a sense of humour about it.I'm giving it a 10 to offset some of the poor reviews here. Come on folks!
