Wazir Audience Reviews

Afouotos Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.
CrawlerChunky In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.
Doomtomylo a film so unique, intoxicating and bizarre that it not only demands another viewing, but is also forgivable as a satirical comedy where the jokes eventually take the back seat.
StyleSk8r At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.
raserf Save yourself the trouble and enjoy something else, The story the use of props and stunts all seem out of place unfinished or improperly performed. Seems like the producer run out of money and director out of ides and actors out of talent. Worst Amitabh movie i have seen.Film seems to be lacking in every thing, its a movie just for the sake of it
Hari Kansal Wazir is a film with stereotypical cinematography/direction (especially the love scenes), a horribly failed attempt at playing a mad character by Neil Nitin Mukesh, and just barely believable performances by the usually talented Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar. The music, although carrying the weight of the talented musicians behind it, doesn't adequately carry the heavy emotions of the film itself. Despite all these flaws, the twist at the end makes it just a little better than time-pass, so, watch it if you have time to pass.
indianature Convoluted sums up Wazir. The movie certainly holds the interest. The cinematography is great. The settings, the costumes, the music, all these are good. The key players i.e. Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar, have undoubtedly done a good job in the acting department but the plot is a bit too convoluted.Wazir would have been a much better film had the plot played out in a simpler manner. Nonetheless it is an interesting watch and should be seen, especially when it comes on TV :)
Tanuj Poddar This is a gripping story that has been beautifully enacted by Amitabh and Farhan. It is a story about two fathers who have lost their daughters. One is a Chess guru (panditji played by Amitabh) who lost her daughter in what he feels was a hushed-up murder, and the other is a ATS officer (daanish played by Farhaan) whose daughter got hit during a shootout while he was trailing a terrorist. This is the basis of a bonding between panditji and daanish. Panditji teaches him using chess metaphors that one has to make sacrifices, wait for the right time and use the resources at hand to win. And sometimes you win by losing. It was a sharp and gripping movie and doesn't stretch very long unnecessarily. Though there are some things that the director could have placed more emphasis so that the movie didn't feel incomplete. The friendship between Daanish and Panditji doesn't come out strongly enough to make you believe that Daanish would do what all he did, only for his friendship. The character of the minister/terrorist was not developed well enough, it could have been given more depth. The chemistry between Daanish and his wife was given much time, but it had minimal impact on the story. The climax where the minister was ambushed didn't have the needed impact. Even the song in the end that was supposed to unravel the mastermind, wasn't created well enough to really intrigue the mind of the viewers. All said and done, it was still a good story with great performance by Amitabh and Farhan. It could have been a little better if the screenplay would have allowed other characters to make a little more impact on the story.
