montym2008 Came across this review, later rented the movie: "Taking "girl power" to an extreme, the pulchritudinous protagonists of this engaging indie eliminate a good number of the male cast members before the final credits roll. The killings are largely played for laughs, however, and the black comedy element alone will be enough to satisfy renters. Bowen makes an extremely appealing lead, and Lords is in peak form as the shrewd, bitchy best friend who persuades her to expand the scope of her homicidal activities. The screenwriters dialogue is tart, the director exercises precise directorial control. He knows just how far he can go without losing audience sympathy for the women". That pretty much wraps it up. My girlfriend and I watched it, had a good time. Especially her. Well done.

td490 I recently watched this movie and very much agree with the following review I found on the net: "Bowen, Lords, and Maxey play the three leads with conviction. Their performances are charismatic and usually believable. I would say the best scenes in the movie involve the three ladies talking with each other about their questionable deeds. The best line might be when Laura announces to her two friends, "Ridding the world of irredeemable men is what I was born to do." One of the funniest moments in the movie happens when a police Detective (John Bradley) drops in at Jamie's apartment to tell her that Al has been found dead. Jamie and Laura had quietly slipped into the zoo while it was closed the night before and dumped Al's body into what they thought was the polar bear pit ... Without a doubt, it's the three ladies that keep this movie going, especially Traci Lords. Lords is an underrated actress who is unfortunately more famous for her youthful past in the adult film world than anything else. Her presence in this movie adds star power. I'm not kidding. Lords performance is sultry when needed, funny at the right times, and easily the most intriguing in the story. Her zeal at being part of a club, even this murderous one, is fun to watch. When Lords throws away a line about how she laments being kicked out of girl scouts in the first week as a kid, I laughed out loud. Lords very convincingly gives us a character that is sexy and even glamorous yet is also cold-blooded and dangerous. During the movie, I found it impossible to take my eyes off of her because I couldn't wait to see what she would do or say next... some of the scenes at the funeral home were breathtaking in their composition and feel. Stutz deserves praise for creating a good ambient effect within the locations during the course of the movie. The production design by Randall P. Earnest and the art direction by David Fitzpatrick were also executed well."

Wout Visser (wrvisser-leusden-nl) A thrilling B-movie, with a fascinating performance by Traci Lords. She plays Laura, the spiritual leader of a Killing Club of three ladies trying to get rid of some annoying men. This movie's story is built up well, showing ruthless Laura having more and more trouble to inspire her two hesitating companions into a new murder. In the end the three of them inevitably split up, Laura moving on from Los Angeles. Her companions stay behind, one of them writing a successful novel about their experiences in the Killing Club. Six month afterwards these two ladies are shown reflecting about their adventures with Laura, concluding they don't really miss her. At the same time Laura is shown somewhere in Arizona, taking off in a cab. No doubt on her way to a new horror plot.

pietderver Quite an entertaining movie. Housewife Jamie accidently kills her boyfriend and together with her friend Laura she tries to get rid of the body. Al, Jamie's former boyfriend, was a big jerk and both Laura and Jamie believe she's better off without him. Arlene, a friend of Jamie and Laura, has trouble with her sexist boss (well played by Neal McDonough, who also played an excellent part in "Ravenous" as private Reich) and Laura thinks it would be better for Arlene if he was murdered...
