Console best movie i've ever seen.

Plustown A lot of perfectly good film show their cards early, establish a unique premise and let the audience explore a topic at a leisurely pace, without much in terms of surprise. this film is not one of those films.

Candida It is neither dumb nor smart enough to be fun, and spends way too much time with its boring human characters.

Joe Citro My affection for Frank LaLoggia's modern classic is easy to explain: the film's world is similar to the world I grew up in: small town, Italian grandparents, loving blue collar parents, and cronies fascinated with monsters and ghosts. Where the film departs from my life experience is that it plays out against a background of racial tension and horrifying adult crime. Writer-director LaLoggia so perfectly recreates the 1960s childhood experience that one totally identifies with young Frankie Scarlatti (Lukas Haas) as he's caught up with murder, ghosts, a benevolent madwoman, and a precious family friend with a dark secret. Strong stuff, but executed with intelligence, sensitivity, wit, and an appealing gentleness of spirit (none of which lessens the razor-edged Hitchcockian suspense). I have probably watched this film and recommended it more than any other.

hcieri I remember walking into the video store in my town, I miss that so much, the owners were a lovely couple who knew my taste in movies. They would suggest movies they know I would especially like. One day I was told about a movie they were sure I would love called Lady In White. Love was an understatement because from the first watching Lady In White became not just a favorite but a family tradition. Growing up in a warm Italian family watching the Scarlattis is like watching my own family! Halloween in Frankie's school was just Halloween when I was in the 1st grade. Mysteries are my favorite genre especially well written mysteries that hold my interest and keep me guessing. Writer, director, producer Frank LaLoggia has written a mystery that not only kept me guessing but tugged at my heart. It's very rare indeed to find a mystery/suspense/horror movie that also has soul and depth!!!! It sets the exact mood I feel every year when Halloween comes creeping up and have felt since I was a child. That's why Lady In White is not only one of my top favorite movies, it's become part of my Halloween family tradition.

CineNutty The plot needed a serious re-write. It could NOT figure out if it was a kid pic or a grown-up pic. I figured out who the bad guy was JUST FROM CASTING. I would be not true to myself if I said this was not in the running for worst in genre. It is. It is up there with "Plan 9 from Outer Space"(1959) which is worst in Sci-Fi. Heck, "Hocus Pocus"(1993) was better than this as a comedy horror flick.Failure on so many levels. The special effects were MARGINAL. The plot was also marginal - I knew the innocent black guy was going to get shot. I could easily see the actors wanting to scrub their names off the credits. Don't bother - there are so many better films out there. This was a waste of time.

Johan Louwet Yes I liked this 'ghost' story. It's pretty classic storyline. A young boy is locked up in the cloak room at school by two of his classmates. He witnesses a tragedy that happened 10 years ago. He almost gets killed by the child murderer himself. Seeing the ghost of the murdered little girl again begging him to reunite her with her mother he is dedicated to find out what happened and even more who the killer is. His quest is full of suspense, spooky at times with the legend of the lady in white making it even more mysterious. One of the minor issues I have with the movie is its duration with the pretty unnecessary sub plot of the accusation of the school janitor who happens to be black. Also the real motives of the killer for his killings are not quite clear, I would have loved to get some more light on that. But overall really enjoyable and interesting movie with a good story.
